I just had the weirdest fucking run of Paglth'an where the WHM barely healed me (I was PLD) relying on ONLY their lillies, never used Cure II. They didn't even put regen on me at all throughout the run.

I may be stupid. Turns out the Eureka relics aren't AS bad as I thought. The step that requires Baldesion Arsenal is to upgrade the already finished Relic to BiS for Eureka. For glamour purposes I can literally stop here.

"Really?" In the most confused way possible. Young Vic hadn't quite developed her taste/attraction yet, so she'd be confused at the Midlander man in the white coat. She doesn't know he's the strongest man she'd ever met, just not in the physical sense.

If Relic weapons are still a thing for Evercold can we involve the Artifact weapons again? It's so weird that Heavensward (kinda) and Stormblood are the only expansions that involve the Artifact weapons in the Relic grind. Hell the DT Relics clearly use the lv99 AF weapons as a base theme wise.

I once contemplated changing Victoria's name to be more lore friendly with the Highlander nomenclature, but then I looked at the examples of female forenames, and I don't like 80% of them 💀. That and I like the idea that young Raubahn was enough of a himbo to name his kid after the word victory.

Victoria is a max height Fem Highlander (roughly 6.2ft/187cm) and from what I've seen of other NPCs, she's tall for a fem Highlander. She always thought it was silly that she was taller than most Highlander women, but not much beyond that. Some have mistaken her for a short Hellsguard.

One of those hits where people assume AI = GenAI. Machine Learning isn't bad by default. Machine Learning is an incredible development tool. The immorality of dataset acquisition and devaluing of humans is the main issue.

Something that the article seems to fail to mention is that this isn't about AI generated assets, its about using AI to run and validate human made code. This is like saying "spell check" is AI

I've heard people make claims that AI would lead to a new Renaissance, but I didn't imagine it'd happen like this:

Screenshot of a Tweet from Pope Leo XIV. It reads:

"In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgen to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity."

The adamantoise is native to Thavnair, but they found their way to Eorzea near the end of the Sixth Astral Era via a shipment of dodo eggs. The scalekin that were spared consumption proliferated. Ironically, their eggs are now considered a rare delicacy

She'd be confused and hurt since all those years of experiences and relationships are just gone now. Even Thancred doesn't recognize her. She just packs what little she has and goes home to Ala Mhigo... where she's ALSO not recognized. Not by her bff Lyse, or her dad Raubahn (this breaks her).

LRP I need people to stop trying to claim they retroactively "always knew" or "always hated" someone who was recently exposed as being a shitbag. You just look like an asshole who desperately wants approval for having the "correct" opinion. There is no shame admitting you were fooled, too.

I've been pondering on this idea of a non-canon story for FFXIV involving Vic and Roric being invited to a world martial arts tournament. Because of their status as Primal slayers and world saviors, fighters from across Hydaelyn are pumped to challenge them.

The silliest thing I do in FFXIV is that anytime I wanna customize my HUD I queue into Valigarmanda via Duty Support, move to the back, and target Valigarmanda. I do this so the LB gauge actually appears so I can accurately place or tweak things.

Victoria's going back to GNB for MSQ now that the world is in danger, again. She associates Gunblades with fierce protectors so she's taking up that mantle again. For Raids she's going MNK as always to test her might. Alliance Raids she might try Bastion, her GNB and MNK skills might carry over.

I think for simplicity's sake and to not go down a never ending rabbit hole, let's just say Victoria, Roric, and all the disciples of the Fist of Rhalgr all practiced an in-universe version of Shaolin Kung Fu. Vic does learn other arts like Wing Chun, Tai Chi, Kickboxing, etc during her adventures.
