This. This is what I will always treasure. Worth more than a Gold Golem or Metal Slimes. Dragon Quest 8 in it's original form still holds up today and I can not wait to adventure through the land that feels like home, again.

Apparently I’m the only person on the internet who thinks the Battle Before Dawn chapter of FE7 was actually kind of easy. I only had to reset once because I didn’t realize Ursula could fire spells from across the map. Once I knew her range, it was easy to keep everyone safe.

I very recently played all three (I was in a very Kirby time of my life) and imo Robobot is the best and Triple Deluxe is the weakest. I just didn’t think the gimmick of TD added much to the formula, whereas RtDL is like the platonic ideal of a 2.5D Kirby.

If you’ve ever played or enjoyed a Shiren the Wanderer game, or a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game, or any Mystery Dungeon game, really: they all spawned from this—originally a Dragon Quest spinoff that came out in the year following DQ5 in Japan (1993). This is the first time it’s been localized, too!
