An absolute horrific nightmare of two AI bots caught in a loop with each other is the perfect example of the total nothingness of AI “brains”.

It was probably the favorite I ever dev'd too, and I might have shown it off in a few discords :P

I'm the real victim in all this

Unless stuff like copilot become industry standard where not using it becomes an outright detriment, I'm probably gonna avoid it too.

Technomancer is pretty cool though, they just seem to run out of gas fast. I considered if anyone wanted to play one, I'd let overclock work on cantrips.

I let a player play mystic in SoG and they're having a ball. They like that one metamagic that lets you exclude an ally from fireball, as well as "cast heal on an ally at any range". Unfortunately the AV game I referred to is pretty vanilla, so my third action is "stride if I must" or "shield"

To be fair to them, if you believed that even though Iowa doesn't have toll roads, you'd be the perfect target!

We had a game of pf2e recently were me and the psychic were just constantly expanding our bless and benediction auras because we had nothing to spend the third action on. We got to 65 feet before combat ended.

I mean, your hut can prepare pizza and be a pizza ingredient, I don't know how I can beat that.

Your mistake was challenging it in the first place. I hope you learned your lesson. Food processor always wins.

So the thing about lance and gunlance, is that people who like one seem to really hate the other. I don't understand why, but it often works out like that.

One of my friends is waiting to buy it when master rank comes out and is on sale. Probably the wisest of us. I only got it early cause some frends were picking it up.

First time? In all seriousness, this is how I felt when World launched. If you compare World at launch to Wilds now, its just as bare, though Wilds has marginally better variety. World needed updates and Master Rank to be a good game. Same with Rise to Sunbreak and Generations to Gen Ultimate

Starting to think Nata might have had a point. The villagers doubting you though, probably not.

There is another way, which I think is perfect blocking, but its nowhere near as easy. I don't have the game to test that with though.

I don't know too much, I'm thinking of playing greatsword this time. But it seems like guard points were replaced by perfect blocks and if you do a wound break attack you get something called savage axe mode or something. I think discharges might also work different but unsure.

I played it a bit in the demo (that they called a beta) and it looks to be quite different. Seems you do perfect blocks instead of guard points now, and they took the chainsaw from rise but made it contingent on other factors.

Poe's Law rearing its ugly head, but at least in this case it was a reference to a comedy skit about comparing steel and feathers.

By RAW, if you cast harm on a dhampir, which is living creature with void healing, it will take void damage (which it is immune to) instead of restoring hp. You have to ignore the "if its living/undead" clauses for any of these features to work, and that's the stance we took for FoundryVTT.

ah, the old conservative two-step: 1. deliberately sabotage a thing 2. oh look, the thing is having problems, guess we’ve got to pay twice as much to my buddy to replace it with worse and more expensive service

they will see

$What to Do When Someone Has a Panic Attack • Ask if they've considered that in season 6, episode 4 of the Sopranos, an episode of Gilmore Girls is playing on TV. In S07E17 of Gilmore Girls, Richard is wearing a tracksuit. Lorelai makes a joke about it by implicating a lunch date with Tony Soprano. • Ask if they realize this means that both the Sopranos and Gilmore Girls exist as television shows in the other's universe. When the Gilmore Girls watch the Sopranos, they will see themselves. When Tony Soprano watches Gilmore Girls, he sees himself and his family. • Like two facing mirrors; Gilmore Girls and Sopranos, a recursion, fractal, etc.$

There's something I need people to understand. The studio that made this released some numbers. They had to produce 85 minutes of footage to find 15 usable seconds for this ad. The machine that creates moving images out of nothing has a failure rate of 340:1 and the best 15 seconds... is this.

I disagree, but only because I think PF2e is too unkind to bad stat distributions and I think its better to RP that instead. Stats are one of the holdovers I hope they remove in a future edition. Most of the system is built to let your char be effective no matter your choice....except for stats.

Supe @mesosupe.bsky.social · 07/05/2024

Short messages makes it hard to add nuance, but I guess it does depend on what kind of game it is. PF2e mostly sells combat heavy AP. A -1 to hit in a 10 over system in a mostly combat game is huge. But also this is why I personally run Gradual Ability Boosts lmao.

Supe @mesosupe.bsky.social · 07/05/2024

I can imagine a combination of SoG being really cool but also harder to run would do it.

Supe @mesosupe.bsky.social · 07/05/2024

I think you're right in certain cases (warpriest!) but I don't think Investigator is really one of them :(

010

Supe @mesosupe.bsky.social · 07/05/2024

In the case of investigator, because of Devise a Strategem, that is a +1 accuracy loss in a mostly combat game, and will also affect your crit rate. What you're saying holds more true if its a thaumaturge, whose real stat is str or dex, and they still get their main cha gimmick even on a failure.
