The last of my little ones, a Red Dragon Wyrmling! Of all of the baby dragons, I feel like this one must resembles their adult forms. In a way, it makes for a more detailed mini at that size, and I feel like that made painting it more challenging! #dnd #dungeonsanddragons #minis #minipainting

A custom painted miniature of a Red Dragon Wyrmling. They have red scaly skin, a yellow underbelly, yellow eyes, white teeth, and off-white claws and horns. The membrane of their wings is a dark red. They are posed on all fours with their wings raised up. Their head is turned back and to the right, mouth open and breathing a gout of flame.

Coming up on the end of my chromatic run with a Blue Dragon, and a fun model at that! I debated for a bit on what color to do for the lightning breath, and I am pretty happy with the purple I landed on. One color of dragon left! #dnd #dungeonsanddragons #minis #minipainting

A custom painted miniature of a Blue Dragon. They have blue scaly skin, a yellow underbelly, white teeth, a pink inner mouth, yellow eyes, and pale yellow claws, spines along their neck and back, and horn jutting up from the top of their nose. They also have yellow membranes on their ear fins and wings, the latter of which have blue spots along their outside edge. Jagged translucent purple lightning streaks out of their mouth. They are posed flying, the front of their body sloping forward and their tail curled down and to the right. Their right wing is partial extended to the side, and their left wing is pulled back. The ground beneath them is a golden brown sandy landscape.

I lost a massive gold dragon I painted that way. Someone bumped it and the thing shattered. It was such a good model, too.

Now for my Blue Dragon Wyrmling mini! I love this model, I feel like it does a good job depicting the kind of exaggerated and disproportionate head and limb size you see in some baby animals. Like most of the Wyrmling minis, simple and effective colors! #dnd #dungeonsanddragons #minis #minipainting

That one is part of a collector's series, I don't know if they used the typical resin for miniatures. It feels much harder, but it has held up very impressively! You may see a bit more brittleness in 3D Printed resin models, but I have only had issues when I've dropped them.

Green Dragons are so interesting, they get such a unique personality profile that really helps them stand out. I'm really happy with how the painting ended up on this mini, but regrettably the support has warped over time, making the pose a bit wonky. #dnd #dungeonsanddragons #minis #minipainting

A custom painted miniature of a Green Dragon. They have green scaly skin, a yellow underbelly, black claws, white teeth, a pink inner mouth and tongue, and yellow eyes. They also have light green membranes on their wings, the back of their jaws, and the crest along their head, neck, and back. Their wings also have dark green mottled markings on the top of their wing membranes. They are posed in flight, swooping down with their body pointed straight down. Their wings are stretched out to the sides, their tail is curved upwards, and their head is curved upwards and to the right. Their mouth is open and their tongue is snaking out. The ground beneath them is brown dirt, dotted with gray stones and clumps of green grass.

Green Dragon Wyrmlings were actually the very first encounter of the first Dungeons and Dragons game I ever ran! Needless to say they hold a special place in my heart, and I think I did right by that! #dnd #dungeonsanddragons #minis #minipainting

This Black Dragon is one of my favorite minis, the pose is so dynamic and I think the colors (few though they are) really came together well! I really feel like this depicts an apex predators of the swamp that takes cruel enjoyment in hurting others. #dnd #dungeonsanddragons #minis #minipainting

Next up is a Black Dragon Wrymling, one of the more menacing looking of the wrymlings. Not a very colorful mini, but I think I gave it just enough to reflect their fetid swamp environments. I was very happy with how this little guy turned out! #dnd #dungeonsanddragons #minis #minipainting

Now for a proper White Dragon miniature. This was one of my earliest painted dragon minis, and I think the first one I did with so much white and a snowy base. I ended up doing several washes trying to get it right, to mixed results. #dnd #dungeonsanddragons #minis #minipainting

Starting off a string of chromatic dragons with this White Dragon Wyrmling. It can be hard to shade these creatures that are meant to be snow white, but I think it came out okay. I'm definitely happy with the snowy ground and icy breath weapon, though! #dnd #dungeonsanddragons #minis #minipainting

A bit more ambiguous this time with a couple Half-Orc Adventurers. Either of them could be Fighters, but they could also be a Rogue and a Barbarian, or even a mix between the two. Either way, I had fun painting these two! #dnd #dungeonsanddragons #minis #minipainting

The last of my Giant minis to round out a month of monsters, a Cloud Giant! I believe this was a Reaper miniature, but I did this so long ago that I can't remember. A little rough around the edges, but I still like how this paint came out. #dnd #dungeonsanddragons #minis #minipainting

A custom painted miniature of a Cloud Giant. She has marble white skin, black eyes, and long, feathered, periwinkle blue hair. She also has dark blue lipstick and black eyeliner. She wears a low-cut, sleeveless blue dress and gold filigree, that has slits up to her waist, showing her legs. She has dark brown pauldrons trimmed in gold, a gold chain belt, gold bracers, a gold anklet on her right leg, a gold laurel garter on her right thigh, and a gold winged headdress with blue gems. Her right hand holds a club made of a white marble statue/column, attached to a dark brown wooden handle by gold fastenings. She is posed leaning forward with her left leg extended, her left hand resting against her knee and her right hand holding her club upside down and on the ground as a brace.

A change from my Giant theme, but it felt wrong not to follow up the old-school version with the new Merrow. Rather than an aquatic Ogre, they are depicted as corrupted Merfolk. I like the posing of this figure, but its facial details were blurred away. #dnd #dungeonsanddragons #minis #minipainting

A custom painted miniature of a Merrow. He has silvery gray scaley skin, sunken blue eyes, and purple-tipped fins on his head, back, forearms, waist, and tail. He has light tan ropes wrapped around his waist and slung across his chest like belts or sashes, with a brown pouch hanging from the ropes over his left hip. Their right hand holds a gray steel barbed harpoon, with rope wrapped around the middle like a grip and tied to the end as a line. He is posed looking to the right, their fish-like tail undulating through a cresting wave of water. Their right hand holds their harpoon up vertically and slightly forward, while their left arm is held out and back, his palm turned forward as if preparing to cast a spell.

Next up in my line of Giants is an Ogre! I find it odd how different this feminine Ogre mini is from the typical depiction of masculine Ogres, which resmble giant orcs. Still, a fun and simple mini. #dnd #dungeonsanddragons #minis #minipainting

A custom painted miniature of an Ogre. She has light brown skin, brown eyes, and long, dark brown hair with blunt bangs. She wears a black sleeveless shirt, an open brown vest, light tan pants, and a red sash around her waist. She has black wraps around her hands and forearms and rusty red boots with dark brown fur trim and steel plates attached to the tops. She holds a large axe in both hands, which has a massive gray steel single head and a rough brown wooden handle. She is posed charging ahead, her right foot forward and her axe pulled back over her right shoulder as if to swing it horizontally. Her face is pulled into a grimace, and her mouth open as if letting out a warcry.

While there are a lot of Flesh Golem minis out there, I found the official ones didn't quite meet the size I was looking for. This big fella captured the design I wanted, a hulking brute made of layers of stitched together bodies. #dnd #dungeonsanddragons #minis #minipainting

A custom painted miniature of a Flesh Golem. They have multiple types of flesh stitched together, ranging in color from pale, tan, brown, light gray, gray, light green, and green. There are also several lime green pustules, mostly on their right shoulder and chest, and pronounced pink veins from the back of their neck. They have pronounced yellow teeth, and one brown eye and one blue. They are held together by white stitches and black bolts. Theu wear a dark brown waist wrap, with a dark gray shackle around their left ankle. Their right hand is grasping a gray tombstone in a crushing grip, while his right hand drags a broken black chain.

Continuing the monster trend with a Clay Golem! I feel like in modern days, people think more of stone or metal when referring to Golems, but the original stories of Golems have them made of mud or clay. I think this simple paint came out pretty well! #dnd #dungeonsanddragons #minis #minipainting
