What if I just…. Casually leaked the Dead City Cover art (by the extraordinarily talented @egallagher.bsky.social) and told you you should pre save the album (Coming June 10th) at 2amwakeupcall.com/deadcity. What then

A digital drawing in shades of black, beige, lime green and deep purple with yellow accents. A wide shot of a street where all the buildings are grown over with massive plants, some sprouting into purple lily blossoms. There is an overturned car on the street missing a tire, and a composition book lying next to it. Across the top is the title “2:00AM Wake Up Call - Dead City”. This too is overgrown with plants

Things are getting a lot more ~aggressive~ on the new albums coming this year but I would love to make an album w @merrier.bsky.social and @leavenelsonb.bsky.social that sounds like this. Nelson and Jake make the prettiest instrumentals

Oh, would you look at that? An early contender for album of the year. Bedroom skramz for fans of the more post-hardcore adjacent screamo as opposed to midwest emo. Love the subtle indietronica elements. Shoutout Germany. ipracticesayingsorry.bandcamp.com/album/thank-...

Normalizing spelling out what people actually mean when they cite DEI rather than letting them hide behind the safe cover of a euphemism that's been sapped of meaning

none of this should be happening but it’s even more upsetting and extremely fucked up that our government would attack great parts of a community to accomplish their goal. not very surprising anymore

Civil rights were won through protests and lawsuits and literally fighting back. We are not in unprecedented times. We are in a horrible reboot of Reconstruction. Fight in every way possible. Flood those anti DEI tiplines with misinformation, spend 10 minutes every day telling your reps to stop this
