Norway produces more oil than Venezuela. And yet, between January and August 2026, electric vehicles made up 97.8 percent of all new cars sold in that country. Moving to EVs is often based on intelligence, not need. Which is why it lags in the notoriously short-sighted and stupid United States.

The amount of Amazon workers relying on SNAP and Medicaid has nearly tripled since 2020 — while Amazon’s annual profits soared by over 550%. It’s the same story everywhere: corporate profits are at record highs, while workers’ share of the economy is at a record low. We must unrig the system.

I’m a liberal/progressive/environmentalist/anti-racist/civil libertarian. I am not a conservative. There’s much of conservatism that I fiercely disagree with. But I don’t know ANYONE that I agree with anout EVERYONE. It’s nearly always worthwhile to try and find common ground with people.

Always ? Abraham Lincoln called himself a conservative, because he aimed to conserve the Republic. Conservatives of my childhood favored environmental CONSERVATION, supported reproductive rights. They weren’t ALL crooked, reactionary, fanatical bigots.

The five biggest defense contractors spent more than $100B on buybacks and dividends since 2020. I have a simple question for defense contractors: If taxpayers are giving you billions to build military equipment, why are you buying back your own stock? This needs to stop.
