#ff6Celebration2026 : Day 1: War of the Magi / Hidden Histories / Conquest 5 of Swords This card represents a war with no winners: the battle is over, but all is not well.

A tarot card featuring a man standing in the foreground holding 3 swords, two swords lay at his feet. In the background are two espers facing away, faded, dejected. They stand on a gloomy sky with dark clouds. The war is over, and while there is a "winner," no one has really won.
The outline of the card is gold, there is an abstract blue and Grey border, and "five of swords" is written over a piece of magicite at the bottom of the image.

Hard to believe an esper's been found frozen there a thousand years after the War of the Magi. #FF6

Guys guys guys guys guys [gender neutral] It's OCTOBER, which means the artober #ff6celebration2026 stuff is coming out starting today!!! My pics are significantly more time intensive than a typical sketch-a-day so the seven-ish day buffer means next to nothing. 😅😅😅 why am I like this 🙃

Whenever I have a negative thought re: politics, I do a little search to cleanse my palate. I check to see what @mayor.nyc.gov is doing and it *never fails* to put a smile on my face. My MiL and I just listened to his interview with Kimmel and she kept saying, " I love this man!" (You and me both)

🌸The ladies and Mog of Final Fantasy VI 🌸 🖌️: acrylic gouache+gouache on 300gsm watercolour paper I think this might be my favourite piece yet 💚💛❤️ ⟡ #finalfantasy ⟡ #FF6 ⟡ #art

Acrylic Gouache+gouache painting of the main female cast of Final Fantasy VI along with Mog
they're all floating to a black background with details of flower petals, white dots and opal-colored sprayed dots.

On top is Terra, a pretty young lady with green wavy hair, wearing her red dress with flower patterns, pink pastel stockings with flower patterns, pastel purple cloak and red boots with golden decals. She is sitting comfortably, and Mog is next to her.

Celes is sitting on the right side, wearing her Amano inspired outfit with a purple tank-top, yellow west and trousers and white boots with decals on it. She has long blonde hair, and wearing a fancy hair ornament.

To her right and in-front of Terra is Relm, a child with blond curly hair and a big smile. She is wearing a big red beret with pattern, a yellow cloak connected to her necklace, a black tank-top, red puffy trousers with star pattern and red boots. She is holding a big painting brush with her left hand.

My daughter just said she wanted to "watch butter melting" -- my husband's sense of humor is twisted. (We allow very limited TV-- bluey, ms Rachel, sesame street, Daniel tiger-- and usually for a set amount of time. But the kids LOVE TV, so husband trolls them with a butter melting shitpost video)

I love my local library. The librarian asked if I needed help, and I told her Princess Hamster Vol 6 is missing. She told me how to submit a request for purchase! And then, she leaned in and said, "did you know that Ursula Vernon writes for adults--" to which i tried not to shout "PALADINS!"

Doing a tarot project means designing the coat of arms for the royal kingdom of Figaro! FF6 sneak peak for my artober #ff6celebration2026

A coat of arms meant to represent the kingdom of Figaro. A medieval-inspired gold Lion stands on the left with claws bared; a brown bear stands to the right. In the background is a pale green cactus with pink flowers atop each spine. There is a blue and gold crown above a shield. The shield is bisected diagonally, blue atop to represent the sky, gold on the bottom to represent the sand. On the shield are two gears, one gold and one blue.

Spent a not insignificant amount of time designing a coat of arms for Figaro castle. It's still in progress, but I am enjoying it very much.

My friend loves the Gnoles in @tkingfisher.com 's World of the White Rat books. So I dressed up this little guy for her (I did not make the plush- not that many spoons). But the advantage of being a reenactment nerd is when you ask friends for Wool scraps, they deliver.

What had happened was what always happens-- you fall in love with a paladin and add a gnole and then you've obsessively cleared 200 pages and now you have to wait for the next installment to be available. @tkingfisher.com [re: clockwork boys]

WIP Wednesday! Next month, I'll be posting finished objects. Meanwhile, here's a sneak peek: 30 ff6 minor arcana tied to the prompts for the #ff6celebration2026

The 4 of swords, a rough draft of a tarot card. The frame is art nouveau inspired, the card name is displayed over magicite. The image depicted shows Celes asleep in the World of Ruin.

The 4 arcana: cups/chalice, coins/pentacles, swords, and wands/staves.
