menguas.bsky.social @menguas.bsky.social · 13/03/2026Years ago there was a comercial on Univision about Inglés sin Barreras. Where a man was interviewed didn’t speak English as the interview goes on the man starts sweating, steam billows up from his colar as he begins to shrink. The last few seconds are of him holding a card walking to the exit. 3191

menguas.bsky.social @menguas.bsky.social · 14/11/2025Re-read the book and now listening to it so there’s a bunch of smaller scenes (no pun intended) that never made it to the screen. In the book food was a struggle to come by a literal uphill journey. Water was plentiful until he got too small to access his reserves. 0123

menguas.bsky.social @menguas.bsky.social · 21/10/2025One of the things I didn’t understand right away when I read the book was when his brother was tinkering with the heater, he was so close and yet didn’t attempt to get his attention but was gobsmacked by the sheer size differences. I may be recalling it wrong #shrinkingman #L'homme qui rétrécit 0100
menguas.bsky.social @menguas.bsky.social · 21/10/2025This was the part in the book where he realises getting noticed will only open up old wounds. So close to getting out via his brothers pant cuff but then again nothing was ever easy for him. #shrinkingman #L'homme qui rétrécit 030

menguas.bsky.social @menguas.bsky.social · 17/10/2025So glad the new film is paying homage to the original film with this scene. Although in the book he gets trapped in the cellar a different way and his fall doesn’t come till he’s much smaller. Still a brilliant scene #shrinkingman #L'homme qui rétrécit 1102
menguas.bsky.social @menguas.bsky.social · 16/10/2025One of my favourite scenes from the original movie and the book although in the book he was a lot smaller when he interacted with the cat. #shrinkingman #L'homme qui rétrécit 070
