FFXIV Write 2026 Day 02: Register | berryzawa | Ellipsus
Second Day of FFXIV Write 2026. The prompt is "register".
![Stop learning mahjong!
-games were not supposed to involve math
-so many yaku yet no real-world use found for anything more than tanyao
-wanted to go for bigger hands anyway? we had a tool for that: it was called "guessing"
-"i should build junchan, sanshoku, and iipeiko, and call riichi so i have a chance to get ura dora" -statements dreamed up by the utterly deranged
look what pros have been demanding your respect for all this time with all the tiles and yaku we created for them
(these are real hands, played by real players):

"you have to discard the 7 sou or you'll end up in furiten" they have played us for absolute fools](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:j5j5eoxjsdtfsaqa3rovefhg/bafkreigemqyy6wpoo6dglgvqphyruldbxt5rgxm6hbwgiznitr4intwv7q)
