My quiet holiday weekend includes fishing, napping, reading. The first picture, taken 2 July, is the lake near my camping spot where I’ve been going each day around sunrise to fish for largemouth bass. The second picture show one of those feisty bass just before I released him back to the lake.

A photo at dawn of Ruby lake. The water is absolutely still. There is no one present except the photographer (me). The trees around the lake and morning sky are reflected perfectly in the mirror glass-like water surface.

Just to bring your spirits up a bit, or at least distract you, here is a photo I took last night while soaking in our hot tub. The air temperature shows about -5 degrees Fahrenheit and the water temperature shows 102 degrees Fahrenheit. Only problem — my hair froze.
