An absolute banger of a book. I am sad that I have to now wait a whole year for the next book in the series. I have had such a good time this year reading so much of this author.

Here are their names and a wonderful soul created a website to keep track of them. Thecornell7.org Also, since we are talking about college rapists Brock Turner now goes by Allen Turner and lives in Ohio

I hope the Cornell Seven never know a day of peace ever again. I hope the shame and stench of their actions follow them around for the rest of their miserable lives. I want there to be justice for this young woman but we live in a country that rarely makes the perpetrators of sex crimes pay.

Current read, I love this series so much and I waited to make this my final audio read of the month. It is GRIPPING.

new favorite baker just dropped (I am finally watching the new ep of Bake Off)

screenshots from the latest season of British Bake Off of a chef named Mo, he's a tan skinned young man. He's got dark hair falling over his forehead and a beard. He's saying, "I come with a lot of baggage, but it's, like, the good baggage."

Mo continued, "Like Louis Vuitton baggage."

Asking to have your book reviewed and then adding that the book and cover were both produced with AI assistance is a bold move. Hard pass, no thanks.

This was so good (very steamy) but also has on page death of a loved one and related grief so while I definitely recommend this (and the other 2 books in the series), I do want to make sure readers know there’s some heavy emotional stuff in this one.

Ranting about a piece of media only to realize I’m actually not the target demographic is a particularly bad trait of mine. Not everything is meant for me. Most things, in fact, probably aren’t!

I’ve realized that sometimes I stress bake and other times, I stress organize. Today was a stress organize day. Which led to the realization that my husband randomly keeps empty boxes, like he’ll take the stuff out, it’s being used, and also the empty box is just…sitting there. WHY???

The joy of starting the first book in a series by a new to me author and realizing there’s something like 13 books in the series and the first one already has me so hooked that I am absolutely gonna read everything in her backlist. (Concrete Evidence by Rachel Grant is the book).

Once again, begging people to read Asha Mara; dual 1st person POV, alternating chapters with each POV, and sexy and beautifully written and a great found family in this series with a amazing group of friends. Start at the beginning of the series, I promise you, it's well worth your time.

My spouse is not on any social media and has never heard of the term “trad wives” until tonight when I explained it to him and had him watch a Nara Smith video (“why is her voice like that?” and “is this satire?” and “what is she wearing??”) and well, that was a fun evening.

5 star banger - I am iffy on fake dating tropes in a contemporary romance but this one between a grumpy small town doctor and a struggling single mom really worked for me on every single level. Plus it's dual POV and dual narration, if you like that sort of thing (which I do, very much).

I have long believed that “what, to you, is Tim Curry’s definitive role” should replace Myers-Briggs, the enneagram and H*gwarts houses as our primary societal methodology for sorting categories of people I am a Frank-N-Furter sun with a Van Helsing moon and a Long John Silver rising

the famous line about how michael caine treated the muppets as fellow actors and tim curry treated himself as a fellow muppet keeps running through my head we have a lot of brilliant actors, but how many of them can really pull off 'unhinged muppet' the way curry could? what a tremendous loss

I know when everyone thinks of Tim Curry, their mind immediately goes to his performance in The Rocky Horror Picture Show but I’m weirdly obsessed with his turn as the diabolical Cardinal Richelieu in The Three Musketeers. Anyways, that’s two greats gone in the span of 24 hours.
