For my whole conscious life I've been making art, & it's clear to me that an LLM cannot replace this mysterious, organic, unconscious process. AI art is as obtuse as trying to reverse-engineer a tree. We have seeds, we have imaginations - both whose forms *are* in a sense their processes

"I refuse to use AI. I don’t want its sweaty little hands all over creative work. Art is an expression of being human that’s transcendent and complex, and the dumbification of that is the last straw for me. That and robot dogs."

Dear musicians, Why the HELL are you not only subscribing to Spotify, but sharing links to your music there? Why are you helping this company grow, despite them throwing you under the bus every single chance they've had in the last decade? I legitimately can't wrap my head around this.

Once again reminding folks that the ethical replacement to using Spotify isn’t another streaming platform; it’s buying music from artists when you’re in the financial position to do so and pirating them when you’re unable to do so. Or simply ask an artist for the files, like actually.
