Fair enough. I live in the same region and put out bird seed and the doves have taken over the backyard. Lots of white winged doves right now.

This fits the candy colors prompt for today's #USkJunePrompts2025!

And set water out for the birdies and critters! ♥️ And it's still pleasant early, early morning. Besides that, I feel like it's winter in the midwest. Just instead of the heat being on I have AC. And I don't have to dig out my car! 💯

My last #cosplay for the weekend! I just love being #GideontheNinth. Ran into another Gideon that gave me a bracelet (with curse words of course 😂). It was so sweet! (Alas, I also lost my skull somewhere on the convention floor! 😭)

Melanie dressed up as Gideon the 9th with a black outfit a skull face paint and aviators.

Timed #sketches at #PhoenixFanFusion! They had a fun event where cosplayers modeled and anybody could come and sketch them with timed intervals. #cosplay #watercolor

1 minute sketches, the color was added later though. A cosplayer reading a book one kneeling and another lying on the ground.

2 minute sketches, color added during the sketch. One person kneeling with a giant sword and another person sitting down with their arms crossed over their legs head down

The rapid fire 30 second sketches! The color was added in afterward. Four figures loosely sketched.

One 10-minute sketch of a woman sitting with a maid uniform and holding keys

Look at these amazing illustrations from @hemask.bsky.social! A most amazing artist at Phoenix Fan Fusion! I just kept picking up thing after thing (not in the photo is the pencil bag and Raven trinket pin!).

Tree journals each with an awesome sticker. One of Gideon the 9th, another of a snail with a house, and a teacup!

Phoenix Fan Fusion fun as Tippi Hedren from The Birds. Absolutely shocked how many people recognized me and came up to talk to me about the movie. Even young folks - gives me hope that the next gens are watching great movies

Even though there are no pets in this sketch, I see them. I see Jackie on her little footstool looking out the window, and Bowie waiting for me to grab his leash for a walk. #urbansketching #watercolor #sketch #pets

Please enjoy this ridiculously cute butterfly, which was about the size of my pinkie fingernail. It's in the butterfly family called metalmarks (Riodinidae). Males, like these, have reduced front legs and perch using only the rear 4 (females can use all 6). Sarota acantus; Costa Rica 🐙🌿 #insects

A macro photo, front three-quarter view, of a little butterfly perched on a green leaf. The butterfly has pale green eyes with black speckles, legs covered in thick yellow fuzzy hair, and orange wings sprinkled with metallic light blue patches. It is very cute.

Oh what a great sketchy snapshot!

I've used that ink! It does exactly as it says, but unfortunately it doesn't work for somebody who always forgets and leaves it in the pen. It keeps gunking up my pen, but I know that's my fault. 😭

What kind of ink do you use in your pen?

Another #boardgame day! This time #Ethnos was my fave, but I really liked the sounds and tactile feels of Seaside.

Star Trek is this weird space-themed workplace drama where no one is allowed to have coffee or a water bottle. (Picard gets tea because he has a private office.) Everyone else is presumably dehydrated all the time, which works out because they have to take an elevator to find the nearest bathroom

The TNG Enterprise bridge crew. None of these people have a beverage. Not a cupholder in sight. Hell, Worf doesn't even get a chair. Standing desk only.

It's so weird to have a new #watercolor set! I don't know these colors! I don't know their personalities or quirks! Painting with them is like going on a first date or something. (But way more fun than that!)

The new watercolor tin from Roman Szmal!

Just futzing around doodling cats and water coloring them to play play and get familiar with these new colors

I think this is my favorite combo so far. A Swatch that mixes the Cobalt sea blue in the green gold

Board game day! I really enjoyed Shadow Hunters as a social deduction game because you don't have to bluff, it's more strategy and quiet interactions. #boardgames

Some #DnD doodles. You know, knitting as you float downriver to help fix a death curse. Normal things.

Doodles of things that happened during D&D including our artificer sending a mechanical stegosaurus after a bad guy!

I ordered the blue one w/pans for when I'm out and about, but I got an empty pink one, too! Currently I use a blue mint tin and a pink mint tin. Blue for urban sketching and the pink for illustration. These might be upgrades for them!

Haha just started doing this myself! It's very awkward 🤪, but it also helps me find stuff in my notes way easier! Didn't expect a functional use as well as an enjoyable fun one!

D&D notes. Sketch of a sketchy angel that appeared before Cosmo. Another sketch of a dire wolf with enlargement next to battling dwarves!

I loved your video with these paints! I ended up ordering Roman Szmal paints - and your videos really helped me pick my colors. (Got the mini, but also added colors for the third primary set up you had - so pretty!) Anyway, thank you for the guidance and whimsical art!
