La situación no es que esté para echar cohetes, pero nada me ha dado más esperanza en nuestras posibilidades que lo primero que hayan hecho es salir a decir que habrá pucherazo. Muy confiados no están con el resultado.

How cool is that little harp sound every time someone discovers some sort of time travel hijinks in the Back to the Future Trilogy?

Peacemaker, The Penguin and Lanterns have been amazing, thoughtful and interesting TV shows. And all of them for different reasons and with completely different styles.

This was so cool. I would have annoyed them so much with so many questions and being not subtle about wanting to touch one button.

"My neighbor told me coyotes keep eating his outdoor cats so I asked how many cats he has and he said he just goes to the shelter and gets a new cat afterwards sonI said it sounds like he's just feeding shelter cats to coyotes and then his daughter started crying."

Star Wars: Squadrons was released 6 years ago today. So it's a good time to revisit the "Hunted" short by ILM that preceded the game's release. Arguably the best fiction showcasing the TIE Interceptor from the Disney era. Lucasfilm should produce this kind of promotional project more often.

Two bits of trivia: This was the first appearance of an ISD-II Targeting Array in the Disney era (although the rest of the ISD is a ISD-I) There is also a MC95E that turns into a MC95.

Proud to present my lifesize T. rex head, affectionately named Hannibal. I created this myself from start to finish- digital sculpture, resin 3D printing, painting, etc. Huge thanks to my friend @rj-palmer.com for instrumental crits and redlines during the sculpting process.

Don't get me wrong, great movie. Also (unrelated to Godzilla Minus One) if you ever watch the original Godzilla, it will make you realize that the US making fun Godzilla movies is VERY fucked up.

I had a weird experience with this movie because I decided to watch the original Godzilla (1954) first for the first time, I was blown away by it. And then saw this one and it felt kinda like "the same but worse".

There are things in this movie that shouldn't work. For example, after they have rescued the Princess and escaped the Death Star suddently John Williams disappears for 10 minutes, we get tons of technobabble exposition and all the main characters except Luke get replaced by a bunch of pilots.

No, no, my issue is that the left hand has 4 and the right hand has 5.

Mel Miniatures @melminiatures.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

The lighing, the teeth, the fact that the design doesn't look like the prop (which didn't have chest hair). Everything could be just human choices, and the fear of wrongly accusing an artist of doing AI will allow studios to just slip AI stuff without us being able to voice our distaste for it.

0121

Mel Miniatures @melminiatures.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

One of the many things I hate about AI is that it makes me suspicious of everything. I see this and I start to wonder "Why does one hand has 4 claws and the other 5?" "Why does one leg has a clearly defined hock while the other one doesn't?" "Why is the pattern different in every butterfly?"

It isn't a fully AI image because the two buildings are the same as the ones in the movie. They probably used AI to change the perspective, increase the resolution of the image and expand the image on the top and bottom. It is incredibly disappointing to use AI for the cover of an art book.

1120

Mel Miniatures @melminiatures.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

Seems like this was the original building and AI had issues understanding that row of windows changing directions.

3221

Mel Miniatures @melminiatures.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

That one and others. It feels like they took a photo of the models and had to adjust the perspective with AI.

2120

Mel Miniatures @melminiatures.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

I'm getting paranoid with this stuff, but I am the only one who sees some suspicious glitches in the background buildings in that cover? Particularly in the row of windows next to the taxi's windshield.
