re: the bootleg rayden clone Ku Shu what in god's name are these inputs. i can confirm they're possible to do but why are they like this

KU-SHU's special moves (like Raiden's):
Slide - BACK, BACK, DOWN, DOWN, FORWARD.
Teleport - DOWN, BACK, BACK, FORWARD, FORWARD, UP.
Lightning - UP, FORWARD, DOWN, DOWN, A.

It’s really fucked up we told generations of kids they had to take out personal loans in order to improve their lives as we cut funding to schools and when that turned out to be bullshit the general consensus has been “fuck those kids”

the ninja sprites from below but now colored with:
- pale pink and dark purple
- white, dark green and tan skin

i beat xcom 2 again the hunter continues to be my favorite chosen because his reaction to being confronted for his final battle is essentially 'lol the hell are you guys doing here'

the hunter from xcom, a hooded alien smugly smiling as he points at a glowing rectangle behind him. he says 'you're not supposed to be here. you were never meant to figure out our little 'trick'.'

having actually listened to them, it's interesting how the vocals aren't really what i expect from the genre -- it's not really guttural growling or high pitched screaming. the vocals are actually VERY close to if barney gumble was part of a grindcore band

Melly Fiore @mellyinchains.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

hey have you ever color separated mk sprites but specifically the genesis ones 99% of the earth has no reason to do this but i do. and the skin tones are still probably all over the place anyway

the ninja sprite sheet from genesis mk1 but the colors of the robes, garb, and skin are all more definitively separated to allow for better palettes

Watched an El Santo movie and I htink the funniest thing to me is that he's simultaneously played as a detective superhero yet he's also still an in-universe wrestler, so he has to pause the plot to go wrestling three separate times

El Santo on a phonecall: "When I develop it, it'll be confirmed. Got to go wrestling."

found a relatively new-ish grindcore band that has an aesthetic dedicated to old internet shock sites (they're named tub girl, because of course they are) considering all the grotesque imagery those bands usually have, it kinda makes sense this would be the logical conclusion, right

update on this run: dlc basemale has killed the hunter chosen as well. i keep trying to have the game give him photos to commemorate his achievements but they always give him something embarrassing looking

the same character but looking panicked as he fires off a plasma rifle and looks like he's being flung across the frame. the text reads:

DLC Basemale, Supermodel
'Excuse me, where's the bathroom again? I can never find it'

okay i saw this pic of him on the wiki and yeah the 'estrogen would've saved her' argument is very strong here i'm used to how he looks more like a gremlin in the manga

la boomboom looking extremely feminine, even more so than usual

also they say he doesn't have eyebrows but he visibly does?

xcom and jojo brain hitting at the same time results in me wanting to make ningbo because i saw this panel and went 'huh that kinda looks like the stance the soldiers do when they're dropped from the avenger upon mission start'

ningbo from jojolands, a wild-eyed firefighter in a weird wine red short-sleeved firefighter uniform(?) pointing a gun

meryl is also back there

really in hindsight what street fighter stuff lacks compared to like, mk and twisted metal is that they really need to start putting more wildly deep cuts. sf6 world tour is a start but I mean, twisted metal put characters *cut from the first game* into their TV show

on the subject of scorpion's portraits in the mk games, he'll never look as cool as he did in the umk3 one, with the hollowed out eyes and skeleton mouth visible through the mask they really don't go the creepy route with him very often which is a shame
