Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave's music is exactly how I used to 'remix' Fire Emblem: Three Houses when humming along. Now the challenge is to remix the remix 😂

The play 'Cuckoo' by Jaha Koo is amazing. It starts off w plenty of laughs. But after a while those jokes are expertly woven into the sad reality. One where global economic ambitions have repercussions for countries (South Korea). I tried to hold back tears, and was deffo shook...

The 'ice coffee at an interview' debate reminds me of 'what drink to ask for before an interview'. We were told to always ask for something as it exudes confidence. That while during the interview you should stay sharp rather than nipping at an espresso 🥲

In Chinese culture, "saving face" is terribly important. To have someone - let alone a former President - "lose face" should be due to one's own conduct, rather than another ridiculing them, iirc

Anything that humbles, is wonderful. Whether that's a fjord in Norway, with larger-than-ever mountains gazing upon you, or watching a movie about the miracles of a saint. It's difficult in these times to stay humble, but gratitude is everything.

AI doomsday scenarios? When AI is in charge of life-and death situations, real lives are at risk. We shouldn't forget AIs can't possibly replace human talent. AIs lack agency. Let's try to avoid a future where AIs destroy human lives.

Today's a date to never forget. The Falling Man symbolizes the pain felt. Mad Men similarly has a fapling man to remind us of the viciousness of some people out there. Let's stop and think about how this should never happen again.

Anti-feminism is having a bit of a moment - according to Matthias Doepke at LSE. During the first half of the 20th century, many legal restrictions on women labor market participation opportunities were implemented, he noted.

There's an AI shock. Foreign Affairs mag says so — and I agree. Their argument: old jobs, old companies, sometimes entire industries have to go. Not a bug — it's the price of admission for what comes next: new jobs, higher incomes, real wealth creation. 🧵

Storytelling isn't just novels and film. Gamers narrate live. LARPers tell stories with their whole body. Comedians smuggle hard truths into jokes. Journalists turn chaos into something we can act on. Different mediums, same instinct: raw experience, handed back as something we can hold. Craft.

Optimism and pessimism are usually framed as opposites — hope pulling us forward, fear holding us back. I'd argue they're not opposing forces. Fear is just a signal that we care. The real differentiator is trust — it's what lets hope lead. Not division. Unity.
