The primary role of the Quds Force was targeting Al Qaeda, ISIS, and other regional terrorist groups, which should have made them U.S. allies; however, it turns out that those terrorist groups were Israeli and U.S. assets. People in the West might not understand the symbolism of Soleimani's portrait at the UNGA. Right now, I'm seeing Western MSM explain it as Soleimani representing Iran's regional power and influence over "proxies" who "threaten Israel and the US" The reality is, the Quds Force were anti-terrorists.
