Huh, just had a worried thought that maybe me changing to North sky would mess up all the starter packs I'm in since my handle changed, so I just checked and it looks like I'm still there with my updated handle! So that's cool! 🥰

Gentle reminder that it's always ok to say to an artist you asked for commission their price are in fact out of range for YOU. But please don't ghost or tell them it's too pricey, even worse harrass or belittle them, art is a luxury and most of us are in fact underselling ourselves.

Hello I'm jumping into random prompts this month and this is very compelling (pun intended) Because LOOK AT THIS COVER @megwyn.bsky.social did for The Story of The Two Kings. Please do judge the story by it. New* hobbies for K1 (left) and Jind (right) + #LegendsOfB👑🗡️ #LitHodgepodge

Book Cover image of two men in the foreground, the one on the left has his wavy black hair pulled up, he's got piercing blue eyes, light skin and wears a blue cape and tunic/vest on top of a white shirt. The man on the right has tan skin, brown eyes, and a goatee, green eyeshadow and black eyeliner and he's looking wistfully towards the man next to him (who has a more stern expression in contrast). He's wearing a green sleeveless button up and a lighter green cape with a bow knot.

behind both men is a wooden carved throne with a red plush seat cushion. On top of the cushion is a silver crown with multicolored gems embedded into it. The arms of the throne resemble a snake and a sparkling steel sword with a clear gemstone on the pomel is leaning against the throne, through the coiled end of the snake's tail, the blade is wavy. The backrest is hexagonal with roots radiating from the center. There are gold coins on the floor scattered about, and a spotlight highlights the throne.

If you're trying to spot GenAI, style should not be the first thing you're looking at. Start with the fine details, the slop machine is getting better but it's still bad at things like straight lines, decorative designs, etc.

Art makes the internet worth looking at. Photography, music, graphic design-all things people love. Yet artists always carry the burden of making sure these things exsist in digital spaces because it's how we make a living. It gets exhausting being the world wide webs coal miner canary.

Artists have to get ahead of shifting online spaces CONSTANTLY Youtube changes its algorithm to favor longer content? Animators suffer. Social media pushes video content? Artists have to make videos now. Tumblr goes on a censorship purge? Artists self-censor. Now Ai is forcing us to prove we're REAL

What makes this worse is for those who are JUST NOW starting to share their work. Artists like Loish are, by chance, lucky to have this long history pre-GenAI. (Obviously no one could've predicted this.) I worry about artists who have no historical evidence. We need to stop witch hunting by default.

We're at the point where even a WELLLLLLL known artist like Loish is getting falsely accused of ai by people? I want off this ride now please I'm not having fun. ☹ She's so well known in the community it's hard to think people wouldn't be familiar with her (stunning) work.

I'm so tired man. Every time I find a new song I like that fits the vibe I'm looking for, for Damien I check description and comments and it's 9 times outta 10 an AI song. Idk how much longer I can take this heart break. I just want to enjoy music again.
