🐦‍⬛#HoodedCrow (Corvus cornix) & 🐦‍⬛European #Jackdaw (Coloeus monedula) on my visit to #Finland Quick read on the comparison of species: www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Eurasi....

Grey and black Hooded Crow on very top of dead tree snag.

Hooded Crow with grey feathers underneath and black on top. Yellow beak.

Jackdaw bird, mostly black including beak. Grey patch behind head up to the piercing yellow eye. (Sitting on back of a chair.)

Eurasian Jackdaw decided better to beg for food from the square rock stone patio.

💙Took time to jump into a creek to save some non-invasive "air-dying" Largescale Sucker (Catostomus macrocheilus) #Fish in #VernonBC 🐟 And yes, reporting to #BC helped to have stream blockage removed. #Nature #Biology #Ecology

Without my waders, I jumped in, hand-caught the dying fish and moved to running water.

And my "inside" office today shoes and pants got a bit wet and muddy.

This Largescale Sucker Fish was sadlt stone cold dead, lying in its side in too shallow stream.
