As a performer he was unparalleled - witty, charming, unnerving, and deeply funny. We will always consider it one of our greatest treasures to have been part of Long John Silver’s crew. Very fond memories of this atypical 2000AD story, evocative artwork from John Ridgway. Agree its a shame we never got to see Luke grow up. I wonder if the trope of British children going by train to stay in a bucolic world is a reference to the experience of young evacuees during WW2.
