I didn’t really try until I started getting into making my own pizza dough and the occasional loaf of bread just last year. It’s not difficult! I only use commercial yeast though. Starters haven’t worked out :(

Yetakelt wat is my favorite! I attempted to make my own injera once but failed miserably when the teff starter looked like it may have been contaminated with serratia after 5 days of sitting on the counter. I was so sad. I have no successful experience with starters.

I recently bought a Bacillus Thuringiensis spray for the grape leaf skeletonizers on my grape vine. I wonder if that would work for tomatoes too!

Whenever it’s come up lately, folks I’ve talked with have been avoiding all suspicious lettuce/greens even though my state hasn’t been part of the outbreak. Maybe a little solidarity will add some pressure to improve our food quality.

The ego orb is mostly paper mache. I used a giant beach ball as a mold.

The ego orb now has pupils and foam clay is covering some of the foil to make the face.

The dog chewed it up and the kid was so upset, I had to find a way to fix it. She was pleasantly surprised and liked it even more after a couple tattoos and an earring.

It’s built out of wood, wire, polymer clay, felted wool, chrome paint, fluid acrylics, and light-absorbing matte black paint btw the buttons on the TV can be pressed, and the dog is attached with magnets so he can be repositioned

I made a diorama that will be auctioned as part of the undertale 10th anniversary stream: undertale.com The auction starts today and ends tomorrow, and 100% of the proceeds will go to Doctors Without Borders / MSF.

Wow!! They were the first figurines I ever made back in ~2000/2001, made of Crayola Model Magic and acrylic paint with a few toothpicks for internal stability. I wanted to make various characters from EarthBound that didn’t have clay models in the players guide. Thank you for lovingly restoring them

Pell grants were the only reason I was able to go to college. Community college was my best option since it was more affordable. Whatever money I received went into classes, books, and class supplies. Anything left over was for rent, food, and bus fare. I still use what I learned today.

It has to live in full shade here and even then the leaves get crispy around the edges from the heat but it’s managed to keep going despite alkaline water/soil, very low humidity, and a rust fungus I can’t do much about ;_;
