I got one of those mini watercolor palettes and did a little sketch on a spare notebook. I also used watercolor pencilcrayons, frisket film, and pen. I haven't done physical painting in yeeaars, but this was really fun and rewarding!
A watercolor painting of a metroid above a field of poppies. Also pictured is the mini 8 color watercolor palette I used and a tin of watercolor pencil crayons.

Can you believe that there's enough of us AdamXSamus shippers with enough creative juices to make not one, but two zines?! Our second just came out! Due to a busy year, I wasn't able to contribute much this time. Maybe for the third~~

I felt like making a cute bucket hat. So I did! It's got Earthbound embroidery on the side, and it's reversible to reveal some dragon fabric from Japan. The denim parts are cut from some old jeans and the brim features stripy piping. I'm ready for the sun~
Five photos showing off a bucket hat I made. The top photos show the hat on a mannequin head, while the bottom ones have me wearing it in a park setting. The middle image shows my initial sketch, which turned out very close to the final product. The hat has orange and red stripes with an embroidered Mr. Saturn, Ramblin Evil Mushroom, and Mobile Sprout marching along. The reverse side of the hat has a pattern of dragons against a red background. Parts of the hat are made with blue denim, which I cut out of old jeans.

Harvest day! Here's today's haul, and some glam shots of my garden. This pic really doesn't convey the scale of the produce; that broccoli is about the size of my head. More descriptions in the alts.
Yellow pattypan zucchini, a huge honkin' head of broccoli, like 20 Russian Red garlics freshly dug up and ready to be cured, all framed by a bunch of California poppies. I've never been so successful with broccoli before! And this is my first time growing pattypans, which have turned out quite tender and tasty. I was worried about my garlic, because another variety that I grew ended up kinda small, but the Russians are ever robust and reliable. I haven't had to buy garlic in years.A pic of a portion of my garden. Several garden boxes are resplendent with growth. Well, the garlic plot is half harvested. Another one is jam packed with sunflowers, peas, squash, and corn. Perhaps I overdid it this year; it seems like the corn is suffering from the proximity to the robust sunflowers. Though you can't see it very well, the hind boxes have brussel sprouts, cabbage, strawberry, and asparagus plants.Another sector of my garden. Here we've got beets, more squash, zucchini, edamame, potatoes, broccoli, carrots, and onions.

Alright you cretins, come at me. I was responsible for Fangamer's Split Head plushie! www.fangamer.com/products/spl... I didn't make a full prototype myself, but I drew the turnaround, created the print texture, and figured out some of the troublesome construction elements.
A prototype Split Head plushie photographed with some printed fabric. The fabric prints are uncut pieces of Split Head's pattern pieces. It's tricky creating so much print because I don't know what my art will look like in the final product until it gets made. Are the colors going to print okay? Is the positioning of print going to be in the correct location once the fabric gets sewn? I still don't really know; I have yet to hold the completed plushie in my hands. I have to assess my work through photographs on a probably-inaccurately-calibrated computer screen. The turnaround for Split Head. It's a drawing of the plushie from different angles. Most of the drawings don't have texture so the shapes are clearer. The hind legs were particularly difficult to realize in the drawing and in sewing. I was trying to emulate how Split Head's legs look in the game, which is kind of splayed out at an odd angle.A photo of a sample hind leg I made. The factory was having trouble understanding it because a normal animal wouldn't have legs bent like this.A photo of my test of Split Head's zipper mouth construction. I unfortunately made it pink. It was important for the mouth to be round enough or else the internal fabric of the zipper would start objecting to the sudden changes in angles.

30 years ago, lil' Eyes5 wanted to make a comic book and drew inspiration from a 2 page featurette in Nintendo Power about Dragon Hopper, a VB game that never got released. Didn't matter; she spent the next 4 years making a 28 chapter, 280 page epic where she imagined what would happen in the game!
Dragon Hopper's 2 page spread from Nintendo Power 86, 1996. It was the only info I ever saw on the Virtual Boy game before it was quietly cancelled. And now, in 2026, the game has finally been released on Nintendo Switch Online!A page from my 'Dragon Wings' comic, drawn on a little square of 7x9 cm paper that I cut out. Every chapter had 10 pages stapled together. This page shows Narlo, the protagonist, opening a chest containing whip, x3 candy, knowlage ring, leather headband, and faerie in a jar. I was ripping off Secret of Mana left and right, and I wanted to make the comic evoke the item management systems of RPGs. Items are collected and used, and equipment is reflected in what characters wear.Another page of 'Dragon Wings', this one showing a map of the world. It sure as heck was ripped right out of the Dragon Hopper map shown in Nintendo Power! The final page of 'Dragon Wings'! Narlo, with his friends Rego, Slurpee, and Bino, collected all the faeries, retrieved the fabled Dragon Wings, defeated the dreaded Sartono, and finally reunited with his fiancé Mego!

I carved some Metroid stamps~ I wanna stamp some fabric, though I'm not sure what I'm gonna make out of that fabric. Any ideas?! I'll also try a few paper printing experiments~
A photo of a ink pad, linocutters, and 4 stamps hand-carved from pink rubbery printing block material. There's also a paper showing test prints of the stamps. They are my Metroidhat logo, the Super Metroid S symbol, a Metroid, and Samus's helmet, with her angry eyes showing through. I use this test print to see what areas still need to be carved. There's often little raised areas that I miss on the stamps, and now I can see them easier and carve them away.A picture of some Metroid stamps before they're carved, plus the stamp design that's been printed on paper. My process is this: first I draw the design on Clipstudio, then I inverse the image and print it out on a laserjet printer. The ink becomes sticky when heated, which makes it perfect for transferring onto the rubbery printing block using an iron (though I risk deforming the block). What is left is a transfer of black ink on the pink printing block. All I have to do is carve out the black parts to get the image I want.

Although I lost my save file (save your game in a separate slot before the endgame, folks!), I had a lot of fun with Metroid Prime 4! I'll play it again soon and get 100%! But for now, I'm channeling my leftover energy into making some spoiler-free, low-effort Metroid comics.
A 3 panel comic. In panel 1: Samus, on her motorbike, buzzes past a green energy crystal, thinking "whoops"

Panel 2: She swerves to try to hit the shining gem, but misses. She thinks "C'mon..."

Panel 3: Samus is driving donuts, yelling "Why can't I hit this rock?!" The crystal is in the middle, unmoved, untouched, moisturized.A 3 panel comic. Panel 1: A Lamorn (an alien creature with gills like an axolotl and 4 arms) says to Samus "Chosen One... To navigate our world, you must open your third eye..."

Panel 2: The Lamorn plucks a googly eye sticker from a sticker sheet.

Panel 3: The Lamorn sticks it on Samus's forehead, with a 'boop!' sound effect.Panel 1: A Galactic Federation soldier says to Samus "Samus! I'm a big fan!"

Panel 2: With sparkles over their head, they say "I even have your trading card!" They hand Samus a card that has a picture of her on it, Justin Bailey style, with green hair and a magenta onesie that leaves little to the imagination.

Panel 3: Samus stares wordlessly at the card...

Panel 4: She thinks "Who am I gonna hafta sue...?"Panel 1: Samus in her blue/yellow/magenta fusion suit, fighting off some yellow X parasites. The text says "This is Metroid Fusion"

Panel 2: Adam Malkovich in his blue and white general's uniform, lifting a struggling Samus up by the scruff. The text says "This is also Metroid Fusion"

Panel 3: Samus in her green Metroid suit, biting Raven Beak's head. The text says "This is also Metroid Fusion"

Panel 4: Sylux placing a Metroid on a Space Pirate's head, who is sweating. The text says "This is also Metroid Fusion"

Okay, so I'm gonna overexplain this joke! Panel 1 depicts the setting of Metroid Fusion, but Panel 3 and 4 depicts Metroid Dread and Metroid Prime 4. Dread, like Fusion, Samus becoming more Metroid-like in her DNA. And in Prime 4, Metroids are literally fusing with creatures to make them crazy or whatever. Panel 2, which depicts Metroid Other M, has many similarities to Metroid Fusion the game, although no Metroids are fused with anything. There's many story beats, tropes, and characters in Other M that are lifted right out of Fusion. Hence, some people describe Other M as 3D Fusion.

Sooooo, if you're at the Prime 4 endgame, be very careful about your save. Ideally, copy over your save file. I made a mistake and I basically lost my data.

I made a sweet little Emul plushie for a present. I love the fluffy accents in her ears, tail, cheeks, and chest! It's been a long time since I made a plushie that I didn't have to worry about replicating, so I took a lot of shortcuts and used a lot of hand sewing, which I don't normally do.
Four photos of a little hand-made Emul plushie, from Shangri-La Frontier. She's a bunny that wears a tophat, blue suit jacket, and red tunic. The jacket is removable, and I think she looks very cute without it too. One view has her face-down on the ground so you can see her fluffy tail.

The Lace plushie I prototyped is finally available! Would you believe that she's been sitting on my desk for five years?? She went through at least 5 iterations. Please enjoy these pics of some of those older prototypes, plus a pic of all the patterns I went through. More descriptions in the alts.
4 pictures of my final Lace plushie prototype from different angles. She's wired, so I put her in a number of sassy poses.I picture of my first Lace prototype, posed as if she's doing a musical number in "Singing in the Rain". Something I really tried to achieve was crazy flexibility in the legs, as she's pretty much doing the splits in some of her sprites. This meant that her legs needed to be separated all the way up to her hips in order to do those high kicks. In the end, her high-riding pantaloons were sacrificed in favor of badonky pumpkin pants, which only allowed her to do little kicks at the knees. A picture of two Lace prototypes, face to face, comparing their various features. I believe the left one is a newer iteration. The feedback I kept getting when it comes to Lace's head and butt was "bigger.... Bigger... BIGGER!!" A picture of all the pattern pieces used in making of all the Lace prototypes I went through. The final pattern is in the upper right corner. I keep all my working patterns until the plushie is declared finished, in case I need to go back to a previous iteration.

My prototype for the Frinos plushie is a borb. It's actually kind of challenging to make a borb that has curves in all the right places, like the jut of the mouth, the subtle curve of the head, etc. Please enjoy these pics of a pink, crescent-less, toe-less Frinos plushie.

I was tasked with translating Trogdor's very 2D design into a 3D plushie! I prototyped just the head cuz I wanted to experiment with the eyes and eyebrow placement. Is it possible to get that 2D look in a 3D plushie? ...No. No it's not. It's just too weird!

The Monster Kid plushie is adapted from a plush I made for a personal project. One interesting change is that we used knit instead of sewing fleece together to form stripes. I'm not familiar with the limitations of knit production, so it required some compromises and experimentation to make it work.
My original Monster Kid plushie, sitting in the snow. There's a lot of differences from the official plushie. They're bigger, they have a fleece shirt, their legs are yellow, and their facial features are all hand embroidered and hand appliqued. My Monster Kid plushie prototype before they have their features sewn in. I used pins and paper to position where their mouth, eyes, and nostrils should go.A picture of five curved strips of fabric. When sewn together, they form the stripes on Monster Kid's shirt, which is basically a cone.A drawing for the manufacturers, showing them potential options for Monster Kid's shirt pattern. As it turns out, stripes on manufactured knit can only be formed in straight lines, so we can't form the conical shape with stripes that would best suit Monster Kid's armless body. As a compromise, we made the shirt pattern into two pieces and put seams on the sides.

I claim partial responsibility for Fangamer's latest travesty. Trucy's Magic """Bag""" is a shorts pattern in essence. Here are some of my prototype pictures and factory instructions.
A picture of my """bag""" prototype dangling by the cinched up drawstring. Instead of the printed stripes and appliqued hearts of the real article, this prototype has a plain blue fabric body. Lace was used at the bottoms instead of ruffled minky. Sure looks scrotal, doesn't it.Here's some early drawn concepts for the factory to follow. They outline a lot of the specifics that go into the """bag"""'s construction. Like what parts should be printed or appliqued, what materials to use, and how the drawstring is to behave. When we moved away from a lace bottom, I made a ruffled edge sample to show how it can be done.

I prototyped the recently released Jormungandr puppet from Fangamer! Or at least a wacky colored baby version of him.
The first prototype of the Jormungandr puppet. He's tropical orange and raspberry red colored. Plus his tail is a stubby little thing. My hand is inserted in a pouch at his neck which allows me to manipulate his mouth.Another pic of the prototype Jormungandr puppet, showing his open mouth. He only has one set of jaws at this point. Here's a pic of the inner lining of Jormungandr turned inside out. The geometry of his body was challenging to tackle, because the inner lining has to allow for your hand to stick into and has to connect to certain parts of the exterior. It also must allow stuffing to pass through in certain areas, all while keeping in mind that the factory must be able to manufacture the puppet in a logical manner. It felt like I was making two plushies at the same time which were ouroboros'ed inside each other. Proto and production sample of Jormungandr about to make out. You can see a ton of improvements in the production version, like cool blue scaled fabric, mesmerizing safety eyes, and a touch of thread sculpting between the nostrils to bring a bit more dimension to his schnoz.

The Corrupted Storch plushie from Signalis is available at Fangamer! Despite how simple it looks, it has a deceptively complicated construction. That's because the stripes are actually cones, with each strip of fabric curved slightly differently in order to achieve a soft tapered candy-corn shape.
Four pictures of my Storch plushie prototype. Imagine if you will... a hunched potato body with a tapering, striped carrot head and stumpy striped legs. And it's in light green, pink, and orange candy colors. Because this is a prototype meant to show construction, it doesn't have to be game accurate and I can use whatever colors I want!

Here's the Broken Vessel prototype, from the Hollow Knight game. This plushie presented unique balancing and asymmetry challenges, as I wanted to preserve their hunched, sickly in-game posture. The second picture includes an even earlier prototype, when they had a more tentacle-like body.
Four pictures of the Broken Vessel character plushie. They are a hunched-over jar-headed bug with a cape, curved horns, and a huge bulbous mass of orange infection growing out their head. They have weighted pellets in their body and legs sticking straight out, which greatly help them from tipping over. The earlier version of Broken Vessel is pictured alongside the final prototype for comparison. Instead of a body and cape, their body is simply a kinda stump from which leg-tentacles extrude. Originally, I was instructed to make their body like the Shade plushie, just with more tentacles. I suppose the idea was that it simplified BV's body, so we didn't have to make the whole complicated body and cape. Well, sometimes it's best to do things without any shortcuts. So I went rogue, design-wise, and made the body and cape without further oversight and was like "Here! What do you think??"

Any fans of Hat in Time? Here's my prototype of the official Bow Kid plushie. Obviously she's has some crazy hair, but she's got many other little delightful details. At least, I find them delightful, from a construction standpoint! You can read more about her here www.metroidhat.com/ridley/bowki...
Bow Kid plushie prototype from four different angles. She's a big-eyed girl with dark curly hair held back by a blue ribbon headband, a collared green jacket, and a tiered blue skirt. One of the angles includes an upskirt shot, showing her white panties. Hey, it's not pervy! It's important to include these kinds of angles in the initial photoshoot, in case anyone has a problem with it. Because of course the customer will turn her around immediately and see the panties once Bow Kid is in their hands. The devs indeed wanted her panties changed into purple shorts. You're welcome, for my non-pervy insight.

Once upon a time, I prototyped these Hollow Knight backpack clings. Fangamer still sells them, but we haven't made any more plushies of this size. That's because, even though they're much smaller, they're not proportionally cheaper or easier to produce than a full sized plushie.

Here's a series of Pokemon plushies I made oh... 14 years ago! They're one of a kind and feature a lot of fun elements, like polymer sculpted eyes, internal wires, and real feathers.
An Articuno plushie photographed at several different angles. The main body and legs are suede, while the head and tail feathers are blue satin to give them some luster. The chest has a real feather ruff. The eyes, beak, and claws are sculpted and painted. Wire runs through all the limbs and the tail for maximum posing. I still remember some of the techniques I learned from making this birdy, like how to achieve a flat object that has wires running through it. Mamoswine plushie seen from a few different angles. The eyes are sculpted and painted. I was very pleased with the snout; how all the fabrics came together perfectly and the little bit of thread sculpting in the nostrils really brought out the dimension of the nose. I remember being somewhat unhappy with the feet fuzz, because I have a general distaste for leaving raw edges showing. But it worked well here.A Misdreavus plushie seen from four angles. I was so happy with the pattern I created here, at how curvy the shapes are and how balanced the whole plushie is. I mostly used crushed panne, which gives the plushie a mottled sparkle. I found a perfect set of beads in a craft store that was used for the necklace. The eyes and mouth was hand-appliqued fleece plus some needle felting.A Crobat plushie seen from the front and back. The eyes were sculpted and wire runs through the wings. The body was mostly fleece, with the webbing of the wings being suede.

I prototyped the official Astrobot plushie from Fangamer! That was about two years ago; more recently, I had heavy involvement with the Kratos version of Astrobot. I didn't prototype this new version, but I oversaw the turnaround art and the sampling process.
My prototype Astrobot plushie from four different angles. The more subtle the shapes, the more difficult they are to achieve in plushie form. Like, the head isn't just a 'circle', and the body isn't just an 'oval', so they required a lot of care. I'm very pleased with my choice of eye fabric, in which the individual sparkles are reminiscent of pixilation. Here's a construction document that I sent to the factory. It shows a piece of blue organza on a marble slab and a soldering iron. I used the soldering iron to cut and seal the edges of the organza, and I'm asking the factory if they are able to do something similar. It turns out that they were not able to do it; they ended up embroidering the edges of the cape. I also instructed them to cut the organza on the diagonal. This detail got missed, which resulted in weak capes for the first run of Astrobot, but it has since been corrected. Here's a construction document for AstroKratos. It's my drawing of all their clothes and how they should be constructed and layered.

For the Dead Space fan who requires plushies, you can buy the Isaac plushie I prototyped from Fangamer! He required a lot more hand sewing, gluing, and raw edges than I usually like to put into a plushie. You can read a longer writeup about his creation here: www.metroidhat.com/ridley/isaac...
Pictures of an Isaac plushie prototype from 3 angles. Seeing his back shot reminded me of a funny story. So, Fangamer released pictures of Isaac several months before he was available to be sold, and some counterfeiters thought they could beat us to the punch by making their own version. The thing is, Fangamer never released pictures of his back, so the thieves didn't know what it looked like. They sold their version which has an empty back!

Photos of Cerberus from different angles. He's a red 3-headed dog. Each head has a different expression. He also has paw pads and a butthole.A photo of a Cerberus prototype. But... there are 6 heads??Closeup of Cerberus's paw pads and butthole. Plus, the hand-stitching hole can be seen under one leg, with stuffing sticking out.Two half-made Cerberus snouts. Sometimes I resort to piping black lines instead of embroidering them. In this case, it's to accommodate the teeth and tongues that emerge from the mouth.

I prototyped the Dusa plushie from Hades! The final plushie has much shorter snakes. I only made one prototype and, expecting it to need revisions, I stupidly did not take any construction photos like I usually do. I had to go back and draw my whole wacky process to teach the factory.
Four pictures of my Dusa plushie prototype. She's a disembodied green head girl with snakes coiling around. One snake is holding a feather duster in its mouth. Drawings of the pattern and a photo of Dusa's back, with notes and lines scribbled over them. The pattern often curled back on itself in non-intuitive ways, and I wanted to convey that to the factory.Another photo of Dusa's back, with color-coded pattern pieces to help show how the tail is assembled.

Another older prototype, this is Ironclad from Slay the Spire, which used to be available via Fangamer. An earlier version of him has fur for hair, before we switched to a more sculpted look.
Three angles of an Ironclad plushie. He's a dude with white hair, a yellow mask, and a sword accessory.A picture of an older Ironclad prototype from the back. His hair is furry and white in this version.

The Seam plushie is now available from Fangamer! I didn't fully prototype him, but I was heavily involved with the R&D to figure out his pattern. And now that he's finished, do any of you Deltarune freaks want a one-armed, one-legged, featureless Seam skin? If anyone would love to have it, DM me.
An incomplete Seam plushie. He's yellow, naked, only has one arm and one leg, and his features are just paper pieces pinned on. I didn't need to make a full prototype when this was enough for me to share the pattern with the factory. I think, my biggest flub in this pattern was that I used fleece, which I often do in place of minky because the two fabrics have approximately the same stretch. However, I didn't realize that the final plushie was meant to be made out of baby minky, which has twice as much stretch as normal minky. This resulted in some unforeseen problems with the subsequent factory samples.A picture of my half-baked Seam plushie as seen from the side. His back is quite exaggerated in order to give him a hunched back when he wears his robe.A document detailing different ways of making the button on Seam's cane rotateable. This was before we decided to splurge on making custom 3-holed buttons. We were experimenting with fabric-covered buttons at first. The instructions here are written in English and Mandarin.

Do you own a Zelda:OoT 7-hole Ocarina replica? If so, you might have found that there are not a lot of music tabs out there. So I started transcribing my own! And there's a few other resources, like a scale and a blank music sheet for writing your own songs. Enjoy! www.metroidhat.com/Music/Ocarin...

I prototyped the plushie of Beatrix from Slime Rancher! I like the way her hair turned out. And the pants, which are always kinda weird for sitting plushies because they can't be constructed like real pants. You can still buy her via Fangamer www.fangamer.com/collections/...
Four photos of Beatrix plushie from different angles. She's the girl from Slime Rancher. She's got dark skin, blue hair, a kinda Gameboy thing on her belt, and a pink 'plort' crystal.Beatrix's pants while they were being constructed. Plushie pants are so weird; they look like malformed fabric mistakes for a while.Beatrix plushie's deflated shell. Feed her lots of stuffing so she can realize her true form.

Last year, to celebrate the release of Mario RPG Remake, I 'remade' my Geno plushie pattern! He's sometimes available in my Etsy store, though he's admittedly kinda expensive. He's a very laborious plushie to make! You can read about my Geno-making journey here: www.metroidhat.com/mother/genop...
A Geno plushie, standing and staring straight ahead. He's got wired, satin hair, jointed legs, separate fingers, an embroidered hat, embroidered face, foam core nose, a cape that required so much ironing, and most importantly, moobs!Three pictures of Geno plushies. The first was made in 2012 when his pattern was simpler, his hair was stiffened ribbon, and his hat was painted. The next picture is the 2018 version. The Genos have undergone an update, including the addition of a nose, a lip around his shoes, moobs, and an embroidered face and hat. The last picture shows four Geno plushies from 2023 sitting or standing in a group. The old pattern was barely used in the creation of this new plushie. They sure have improved a lot over the years!

Ooblets plushies are on sale now from Fangamer! www.fangamer.com/collections/... I didn't prototype these guys directly, but I was heavily involved with their patterning and manufacturing process. I detailed a lot of my involvement here: www.metroidhat.com/ridley/ooble...

I used to work at an interior design store, using expensive fabrics to sew luxurious pillows. I often kept the excess fabric+trim to make my own creations. The first 2 pics are customer orders. The last 2 I made with a devore technique on silk-rayon velvet, burning out Windfish and Kraken designs.
Six pillows made with a variety of fabrics and techniques. There's silver jacquard, printed silk, wine velvet, embroidered designs, and silk flanges.Five fancy pillows in a disparity of designs. The embroidery on silk on some of them was INSANE. SO EXPENSIVE. Like $200 a meter fabric or something! The trim was also fantastic; pricy beaded trim and fuzzy edges so thick that my industrial machine could barely handle it. They're mostly emerald green and black. This was one of my favorite sets of pillows to make. Two blue silk-rayon velvet pillows with a picture of the Windfish from Link's Awakening devored onto the front. Devore is an acid that eats cellulose. It burns away the fuzzy rayon velvet, leaving the silk backing. I silkscreened the Windfish design onto the back of the velvet using devore, heated it to activate the acid, then washed away the burnt areas, resulting in this picture. Each pillow also has tasseled trim on the sides.A green silk-rayon pillow with a picture of the Kraken from Earthbound devored onto the front. The pillow is trimmed with gold braided cord. This pillow was made as a Secret Santa gift a few years ago! There's also a few other pillows I made in the background, but who cares about those.

Once upon a time, I prototyped the Wolf from The Liar Princess and Blind Prince game. I rather like how elegantly balanced the Wolf is and how nicely the limbs rest in relation to each other. I don't believe this plushie is available for sale anymore.
4 photos of the Wolf plushie from Liar Princess and Blind Prince, all showing different angles. The wolf is quite stylized and has 4 eyes for some reason. She's actually the princess?

If you're sending gifts to Canada, here's a few tips: There's a postal strike now! If you send via USPS, they give it to Canada Post, and it'll likely be stuck until the strike is over. Don't use Fedex! I get hit with $20-50 fees! For receiving gifts! Why?? It looks like UPS is the best option.
A Fedex bill that I received after being sent a present. It totals $49.61, which is more than the present is worth! This is such a racket!

For SGDQ 2018, I made a Queen Metroid plushie as a donation prize! Inspired by 'Puppy Surprise', her belly opens up and has eggs inside which 'hatch' into metroids. She was a pain in the butt because she required too much hand sewing. More pics can be seen here: www.metroidhat.com/ridley/queen...
A mock up of what a Metroid Surprise toy box would look like, with a central picture of the Queen Metroid plushie and a side picture of her laying eggs. Each egg can be turned inside out to 'hatch' metroids. The flavor text says. "Metroid Queen is laying eggs!" "Guess how many! 3? 4? 50?" "Each egg hatches into a metroid!"Four photos of the Queen Metroid plushie at different angles. From the side, from the back, from the bottom, which shows eggs coming out of a zippered pouch in her belly, and a frontal image in which she is facing off with a Samus amiibo.

The Hollow Knight Wanderer Knight was the first mass-produced plushie I prototyped for Fangamer, back in 2017. I remember being pretty nervous and not wanting to mess it up! You can read more about the prototyping process here: www.metroidhat.com/ridley/Hollo...
