unfortunately it's not just conservative christian men. the last time I attempted to talk about the trend towards censorship in even supposed left-leaning spaces, I was told by otherwise progressive queer folk and "activists" that looking at michelangelo's david was a "violation of consent."

panel 2: neeta says "you were thinking of buying a book from amazon!" wick "I wasn't!"
panel 3: wick "well, maybe I was..."
panel 4: "what's the big deal, it's just books!"
panel 5: neeta "always buy books from indie bookstores! never buy from amazon! they're the real blood suckers of the book world!"

I'd never even heard of this show until this news came out. Totally unrelated but here's a link to the Internet Archive that has nothing to do with this situation at all. Promise. archive.org/details/na-t...

With this is mind, remember: If you see transphobic, racist, Alt-Right posts. Do not interact, do not share (even to say you’re against those comments) Do not draw attention to them or give them the attention they crave. Block the account, report them where appropriate. Do NOT make this Twitter!

Some genuinely terrible people whining about the "block culture" here on Bluesky is how you know the block culture is working, keep blocking those genuinely terrible people, folks, soon the only people they'll be able to bother here is each other

Do You Still Remember That? 🎶Rated: T, 5k+ 🍌Angst, Unresolved romance 🎶Vocaloid fanfic in which Piko takes a walk down memory lane (Piko/Len) 🍌Based off the song: Remember feat. Piko by Kannakuzu archiveofourown.org/works/34430920 #VOCALOID #kagaminelen #utatanepiko

Title: Do You Still Remember That?

Fanfiction author: jubilantscribbler

Summary:

It's been almost a year since Piko's career went down the drain. With nothing else left to lose, he returns home and finds himself taking a trip down memory lane. Regrets begin to pick him to pieces as the memory of cherished friend resurfaces in his walk. What he wouldn't give to share one last conversation with his friend, and to trade the words he wished he should have traded back then.

Screenshot of excerpt of the fanfiction. The excerpt reads:

Snow crunches under Piko's boots as he trudges down a path that was once familiar to him. It's been a while since he last visited this place. To think that entrance exams used to be the biggest worry on his mind makes him laugh. How he wishes he could go back to those times.

The metal gates of his old high school greet him, closed off for the winter holidays. His breath comes out in white puffs as he buries his nose deeper in his scarf. It’s odd - to think that this old school would be the first place he visits upon his return should boggle his mind, but it makes sense once the scenery settles him in. Bare sakura trees, a familiar paved road, memories strewn about lazily like the scattered petals of spring.

Yes, wasn’t this the place where he met him?

The boy with blond hair and blue eyes.

Kagamine Len.

Battle Subway Restrictions Apply: No Legendaries 🔺Rating: T, 1.9k words 🔻Ingo&Emmet&Elesa, Platonic ONLY 🔺Pre-PLA, Actual Grandpa Ingo (and Emmet), If Canon Compliant Could be Miscommunicated 🔻Crack + Angst = angstmeming, jokefic archiveofourown.org/works/38659815 #pokemon #submas #ingo #emmet

Title: Battle Subway Restrictions Apply: No Legendaries

Fanfiction author: jubilantscribbler

Summary:

Ingo and Emmet have always been together. A pair of twins. A set of brothers. Sure, they've had their time apart from each other - it's not like they're conjoined at the hip! But they've always known where the other is, and if distance was a problem- well, isn't that what modern technology is for?

They were always meant to be a two-car train. Never to be uncoupled until the two of them were both good and ready to let go. And even as age tries to drag them down as the years go by, they simply keep each other up and about. Youth is impossible to let go of when they have each other. How could they possibly be 55 now when they still feel like they're still 27? (Do NOT bring up the backache complaints.)

...But of course. Fate always had a funny relationship with twins. And not every joke lands in their favor.

Screenshot of excerpt of the fanfiction. The excerpt reads:

Trainers, for lack of a better reason, never seem to know when to retire. Likewise, both Ingo and Emmet find themselves in a predicament many veterans and older Leaders tend to find themselves in. The pair of twins walk down the empty subway passageway, the area clear of lingering trainers as they officially close for the night. With the remaining minutes of their birthday ticking away aimlessly, they find themselves in no rush to get home. Another eventful year together. Another moment spent together. They’ve learned that the time they’ve spent together is one rarely experienced by others, and by now, yearly celebrations of their birth seem small in comparison to the time they’ve spent battling together on the subway.

That being said, Ingo won the coin flip so now they’re having chocolate cake once they get home. Emmet can suck up his loss later; they still have to get candles as per tradition.

Goodreads is owned by Amazon & there is an AMAZING alternative‼️ The StoryGraph is a black women-owned competitor to GoodReads with better UI in my opinion. When you sign up you can even transfer your data from Goodreads to StoryGraph!
