#Tokentober starts on October 1st! Each day I'll be making a new Magic the Gathering token. This year I've made my own prompts which people are welcome to use as well if they'd like. Use the hashtag to share and support each others art. I can't wait see what people make! 🎨

In 2017, I created Moxtober, a Magic version of Inktober. Create anything MTG-related (art, writing, etc) to fit daily prompts. Most popular w/ Magic design hobbyists! This is Year 10 of Moxtober. I'm 100% hands-off & the community still keeps it alive. 😭 Here's the 2026 prompt list they created.

Moxtober 2026 prompts: 1 - witches, 2 - double, 3 - toil, 4 - trouble, 5 - fire, 6 - boil, 7 - cauldron, 8 - bubble, 9 - blood, 10 - bold, 11 - resolute, 12 - poison, 13 - toad, 14 - eye, 15 - newt, 16 - knock, 17 - wood, 18 - beware, 19 - wing, 20 - something, 21 - wicked, 22 - share, 23 - sting, 24 - salt, 25 - maw, 26 - laugh, 27 - pain, 28 - secret, 29 - midnight, 30 - hemlock, 31 - thane

most of the time you won't find me ordering cards online (at least for commander decks!) because I find the journey that comes with hunting down cards in person to be part of the fun of deck building. for actually competitive formats though all bets are off tbh.

Azure Alters @mechanicalazure.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

nah nah you got a banger on your hands. I'd watch a web series based around vlogging the deals found to build commander decks. you could be cooking here

Azure Alters @mechanicalazure.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

you ever look up a magic artist online and just realize they've lowkey been your favorite and you never even noticed? because that just happened to me when I looked up dominik mayer

okay I lost the pre release but I DID win a playmat in a raffle. overall I'd say it was a good pre release!

I think a 21st birthday spent at a brewery for a magic event is probably the best party I could ever wish for. even if beer apparently tastes horrible oh my god. Massive shoutout to wooden hill for the free non alcoholic beer tho!

Azure Alters @mechanicalazure.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

I'm undecided! probably negative power loot unless a legendary creature is super memorable to me during the event.

I'd say I'm a solid 6/10 when it comes to magic. I'm certainly experienced and knowledgeable enough to be above average but I certainly haven't topped enough events or anything to consider myself to be "great"

Azure Alters @mechanicalazure.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

My major magic events I want to go to for 2027 are magiccon detroit shoebox 2027 the first half of next year is gonna be pretty crazy for magic events and I'm so excited!

okay this is a very compelling argument to revisit a plane I personally didn't like that much. however may I throw in the idea of using thunder junction as a core set plane? I mean as a cultural melting pot it could explain reprints in lore.

#realityfracture #mtgfanart Based off a prompt from a server (that was also based off someone's post here but I won't link to them because I'm SHY and they probably don't need me shambling around their posts) a couple of Echoverse pairs, in their lane, flourishing, unbothered except by each other.

a loose digital sketch from the waist up of Magic the Gatherings Tomik Vrona (Orzhov main canon version) and Ral Zarek (Orzhov Echoverse variant) both looking a little hot and bothered with lil' hearts by their heads. Tomik has his hands clasped in front of him, lips parted a little bit, Ral's got a hand at his chin and looking thoughtful with a smirk. They are looking at the next image...

A SUPER rough fight sketch of Magic the Gathering's Ral Zarek (Izzet main universe version) and Tomik Vrona (Izzet Echoverse variant) fighting each other. Ral has one hand on Tomik's head and is trying to shock him as Tomik bites his other arm and tries to kick him away. Around them are lightning bolts and the insults: YOUR THEOREM SUCKS, and SHUDDAP YA GEEZER, CITE YOUR SOURCES and YOU CAN'T CALCULATE FOR SHIT.

an echoverse azure is either 1 a trans man (arguably the funniest option) 2 a shameless capitalist robot programmer/fixture designer who lives alone and is only really accompanied by a dragon hoard of magic cards. I'm not sure which is better writing/worse emotionally
