2 things I am clinging to: my sobriety & self love. Sobriety is hard in the best of conditions. Yet here I am, alive, sober, and loving me. I feel like a weak person a lot of the time, but that clearly isn’t true at all. You’d have to be tough to do this every day.

I am always in good company if I’m with myself. The same could be true for you. It just requires you to be nice to yourself. This was my lesson during the first year of Covid. No matter how much people in my “community” try to harm me, I always have me. You could never undo what I built with me.

Every day I wake up and feel like my “community” is smaller. I’ve always struggled with feeling like I don’t fit in, but it’s weird when you know people have gone to great lengths to rid you from spaces. They do this in an effort to hurt me, but they don’t realize it just drives me closer to myself.
