Spotted this one on the way home

Matteo @mcomisso.me · 23/09/2026

I’m a big fan of Home Assistant, but the web ui was terrible to use on my Sonoff NSPanel. So I put together a small native android app that responds much faster to user’s input, and it’s just as easy to configure (yaml file). [1/2]

#buildinpublic also as separate news, I’ve released a first version of an app I wanted to have for some time: MapInk! apps.apple.com/us/app/mapink-map-no… [1/2]

I’m looking for some testers for trying out RideNav, a motorbike-first route planner and navigator! Some features: - pick your roads! You can choose much more than “avoid motorways”, and set preferences to the type of roads you want to ride on. [1/3]

I’ve waited so long for this Atlas headrest, and it’s probably the worst purchase I’ve made this summer.

Making a small app for cross posting on Bluesky!

Pixel injured his paw, but he’s been a really good boy tolerating the bandages!

As an indie dev I'm so eager to display my apps that I almost fell for a scam. If you receive this, be aware!

I keep forgetting to safely eject my drives when I unplug my monitor, so I made an app that does that for me when I pick up my Mac. #buildInPublic

👀 Unfollowed - tiny app to see who said goodbye. Tracks across Bluesky and mastodon. Should I release it?

020

Matteo @mcomisso.me · 18/12/2025

I might spice things up in the next version of My Vinyl

Here’s the beta for JuiceBox! #indiedev It’s a small utility that serves you as battery tracker for your devices. Syncs with HomeKit, but you can add your own devices manually. Feel free to ping me if you have feature requests or found some rough edges! testflight.apple.com/join/Ha8WDAzn

Coming soon - JuiceBox! A small utility to track the battery life of your devices. When did I change my AirTag battery? What’s the charge of my hue remote? Do I need to buy more AAA or AA? Answers will be in the app!

I forgot I started recording my location with OrganicMaps *years* ago, it even recorded the altitude while I was on a plane. Good job.

We’re not that different then, Deepseek. Social anxiety at its best.

Fans of the Severance lift effect (dolly cam/vertigo), I made a tiny app that lets you do that in the easiest way possible: move the camera towards your subject, or simply walk towards your camera. Dramatic effects made easy! Beta soon to try it out 😄

I missed the 30th anniversary editions, but AliExpress sells ps5 controller bodies for a 10th of the price. Swapped the internals from my “don’t call it pink” red controller, and now I’m with this - quite happy with the result! It does bring back memories of when I was playing tekken2 on the PS1.

Some “quality of life” improvements are coming soon to @myvinyls.app! - Many crashes have been fixed - Instant search of your records! - On your collection screen it will show the number of results when filtering. Now in review with Apple. :) #buildInPublic

Still so sad that App In The Air closed down. Do you track your flights? Looking for alternatives

110

Matteo @mcomisso.me · 07/12/2024

Another +1 from my end! I’ve been using it mine for everything - even strapped on the back of a motorbike for 2500 miles - and it still looks great. I forgot it on the bike for a few hours with rain pouring down, the laptop in it stayed completely dry. I don’t think I’ll ever change brand! Haha

010

Matteo @mcomisso.me · 01/12/2024

Sounds about right 😆

I’m still 15 and finding this amusing

More AI hallucinations! I haven’t even brainstormed what to add in revision 3.8.10, but hey, Apple’s already got it covered. 🍏🤖

I almost made a viral post on Reddit! I 3D printed my jaw post-surgery, but the post was blocked/removed by mods.

Sigh. How a bug in search ads affects the downloads of my apps (Apple keeps getting declined because they never trigger the 3DS validation for a specific entity)
