Regardless of the legality of posting armed national guard members at drop boxes, whether the boxes were open yet, or whether drop boxes qualify as polling sites under the law; the optics are what matter. Lawful or not, it’s overt, intentional voter suppression.

The year 2026 presents a major opportunity to elect a Democratic Congress that can restore voting rights protections and ban partisan gerrymandering.

BREAKING: In a win for Georgia voters, a state court dismissed a Republican lawsuit seeking to limit where mail-in ballots can be returned in Gwinnett County. The ruling preserves an additional way for voters in Georgia's second-most populous county to return their ballots before the midterms.
In the document, the heading reads "In the Superior Court of Gwinnett County State of Georgia." It involves the Republican National Committee, Gwinnett County Republican Party, and Tim Fleming as plaintiffs, and David Hancock and others as defendants, along with DSCC and Jon Ossoff for Senate as intervenors. The text is an order denying a motion for an interlocutory injunction and granting motions to dismiss. The document outlines the case concerning absentee ballot applications. The filing includes official stamps and electronic file marks.

UPDATE: The DOJ argued to the 11th Circuit that access to the personal information of 2020 election workers in Fulton County could aid a probe that "has already revealed potential irregularities in the conduct of that election." The claim raises alarm over election administration as midterms loom.
Page from a legal document titled "In the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit." It lists the Fulton County Board of Registration and Elections as Petitioner-Appellee and United States of America as Respondent-Appellant. It references an appeal from the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. The document is an opening brief for the United States, authored by J. Daniel Bishop, with contact information for the U.S. Attorney's office in North Carolina.

Sometimes my wife and I like to send each other text messages as though they’re democratic fundraising messages, and I believe she has produced the jewel of the form.
, it's
and I
have some personal news to share with you.
Being a mom is one of the greatest joys of my life, and I feel deeply that we should have salad tonight
This year has been challenging in many ways, and I have immense gratitude for the kindness and support of family, community, and people like you who have continued to stand by me through everything. It means the world, and I wanted you to be among the first to know that squash is in the oven and kale is in the fridge. As many of you are aware, ve been navigating one of the most challenging periods of my day while waiting for dinner.
Facing baseless federal hunger brought on by not eating since lunch, fighting for the working kids of this country, and now caring for a mean toddler and helping him grow up in a world that isn't always easy. But it has also reminded me exactly why I do this work and who I do it for.
I will never stop working to eat dinner. I will never stop fighting for what is right, even when there is also some feta in the fridge. And I will never stop being so very thankful that you are by my side in this important work and that there is tahini in the pantry for dressing
With love and gratitude,
stop to end
