My dad worked with Jim Lovell (presumably on Earth) many years ago and had a few thoughts in reply to a post I made about him. He’s also had a signed copy of Earthrise on his wall my whole life, and I think that’s one of the coolest things ever.

How are swappable algos going to work on this app? Are they installed client side, like Winamp skins for the information you’re exposed to? Or do they have to be installed by your instance or something? (I have no idea how the AT protocol works)

Something about SF that you can’t stop noticing once you see it: the utterly unhinged indoor lighting choices. Hue bulbs turning apartments into European nightclub bathrooms. Every building looks like a scrambled Rubik’s cube. The whole city feels like a Piet Mondrian painting.

FYI, the US is able to see an annular eclipse in October 2023 and a solar eclipse in April 2024. The solar eclipse is the last one over the US until 2044. Buy your glasses early and make sure they're genuine!
