Currently working on Breath of the Wild. I've been pretty open about not being a fan of open world games. I have some issues with design choices so far but one thing I'll praise is the game is visually very pleasing. Love the art style.

Haven't updated here in a minute. I finished Links Awakening. Solid game. Simple Zelda concept. Exactly what I want out of a Zelda game. Also beat Metroid Dread. Don't typically play these kind of games. Had a good time with it. Definitely will play the next game.

A manager at work complained to me about the toxic work environment that is driving away the staff. The same manager that told other employees I was saying racist things and told two employees I accused them of theft to which I had to explain to them to always ask me directly about anything said

Fun fact. This game was delisted from Steam storefront due to the remaster releasing. While I have it on my steam page, it's silly that others are unable to purchase it on PC. Wonder why they won't list the remaster.

I will never understand the mentality of people saying "I want AAA turn based games" but then refuse to buy every turn based game that releases cause it isn't next Gen graphics. If you can't enjoy the genre without the best of the best graphics, that means you don't like turn based games.

I know not everyone's experience with grief will be the same as mine but my personal observation over the years is the days leading up to fathers day, birthdays, Christmas, etc are almost always much more difficult to get through than the day itself which just ends up feeling like another day.

Last entry was on 3ds and it underperformed last I checked. They did add it to switch online so hopefully that gives the game a good jump in players to get a sequel greenlighted. I haven't played dark dawn so unsure if it has a definitive end or not

I have no idea what game to play next. I'm basically waiting for Revelation. Considering a few. Random Zelda game Golden Sun Lost odyssey Stranger of Paradise FF7 Remake replay Sea of Stars Probably some others I got recently but that's my current thoughts.

16 sold fine considering it's barriers and we don't know it's sales today as they haven't been formally updated since it's initial announcement of selling 3mil in one week on a 38mil unit install base with a budget of I believe 60mil?. Square clearly wanted more but thats not bad and is profitable.

One of the most common criticisms of the Remake trilogy is the sales difference between Remake and Rebirth. Often compared to E33 8mil copies sold year one. For some reason they never respond when you try and dive into context about why sales would be different.

By smaller titles I meant stuff that isn't GTA, FF7, KH4, etc levels of hype. Not saying indie necessarily but stuff that just would be very unlikely to get the same attention as those behemoth hype level games. Those huge games draw a large audience.

I don't think announcements and reveals function the same as advertising campaigns so unsure of the comparison. Some studios have done their own thing, mainly Nintendo with their directs. Don't think every studio has the kind of pull. Like cup head ain't getting FF7 levels of attention.

Well it's a massive marketing campaign. The bigger games draw eyes to smaller titles that might not have gotten as much exposure otherwise. These shows do have value. Also helps for seeking investors for those more farther out of date projects.

It's the culture of the people in that region im surprised by. They're very adamant about preventing piracy on any title that is not legally able to be purchased. West believes it's morally right to consume as no one loses value. East believes it's inherently wrong to do so and views it as theft.

I understand that perspective but I can remain critical of the way they handle that. Including a fan base in an experience only to take it away with no reasonable substitute to me is anti art, especially when fans are willing to carry it on for free. The artists right, but a bad decision regardless
