Currently working on Breath of the Wild. I've been pretty open about not being a fan of open world games. I have some issues with design choices so far but one thing I'll praise is the game is visually very pleasing. Love the art style.

Haven't updated here in a minute. I finished Links Awakening. Solid game. Simple Zelda concept. Exactly what I want out of a Zelda game. Also beat Metroid Dread. Don't typically play these kind of games. Had a good time with it. Definitely will play the next game.

Why it takes half a year to beat 1 game

One of the most common criticisms of the Remake trilogy is the sales difference between Remake and Rebirth. Often compared to E33 8mil copies sold year one. For some reason they never respond when you try and dive into context about why sales would be different.

Growing the collection a few games at a time. Started adding more to the list as I find older titles that look interesting. Some of them are getting very expensive.

A local store that I get all my used games at is closing down soon. Been a good source for finding older games. This will likely be my last purchase from that location. Going to miss it.

This guy made fun of me for having a bluesky. The guy that tweeted over 50 times today complaining about the same game in any thread he could find and attacking anyone that tried to talk to him. Clearly I'm the weird one here. Totally normal behavior lol

Typical interaction with the Final Fantasy fandom. This was because I suggested to a user that buying turn based square enix games might entice them to make the mainline turn based again. Someone got upset I suggested playing other turn based games than FF. Always from the same community too.

This is what everyone is getting mad at Sandfall for. A few members played with the tech 3 years ago and 1 image was leftover in the final release that was patched out 5 days later. Something several studios are using far more than Sandfall did. A bit ridiculous.

Final Fantasy music will always be my go to. 13 this year for some reason stood out more than usual. Really hoping we get that remaster. Also I've never played Nier Automata and found myself listening to that OST. I need to get that playthrough going. I'm sure it'll be a good crying session.

My two recaps from this year. Been losing more and more free time but it's been a fun year regardless.

Final Fantasy 15 released 9 years ago. I have a weird relationship with this game. I had come home from my Dad's funeral to find my copy waiting for me. The ultimate edition for $350 that I bought after being persuaded by friends to buy. (I was a little drunk during that call which helped)

I have a rule not to drink to feel better. I also have a rule that I'm allowed to drink on holidays. Bob's drinking math dictates that the holiday rule overrules the feel better rule. My vacation got cancelled after having to fire a couple people so enjoying what little free time I can. Cheers.

Forgot to update here. I occasionally go searching for older games to add to my collection. Picked up these three. I don't know if they'll ever be ported to modern hardware but wanted to secure my physical copy before prices went up. Overall spent $70.

Had wine the other night so the no drinking streak ended at 225 days. Never was intentional but given it's my last day of vacation, I'm going to enjoy it. Cheers.

Starting my playthrough of #FinalFantasyTactics #FFT As I get older and my free time becomes increasingly limited I find myself having to be picky with what games I play. For years I've wanted to see an updated version without the performance issues of the WotL.

Funny meme but I started playing the series during a very shitty year in life. Come home, get a few drinks in, Drunk Souls run. Solid distraction and a great place to get my frustrations out of my system. Love this franchise.

I've yet to play Nier Automata but similar to Replicant I've come across a song that hit just right and now I really want to try it just to see the moment the song appears in the game.

24th Anniversary of Final Fantasy 10. A story with a heavy emphasis on religion, I often cite as the initial reason I started questioning my beliefs. Saw many similarities between the in game events and what I was seeing in real life.

And I also feel I need to point out this unfair conversation about combat in FF16. Stranger of Paradise, another Final Fantasy with heavy action combat, was reviewed mildly worse than 16 but the dialogue in the fandom was much more positive. Why? It wasn't a main title. That's it.

They are still making well reviewed turn based games. You can buy these right now! And you should if you want more turn based games from them. Money speaks. Support these franchises. Play them, talk about them, get people interested.
