On Turning her up in her Nest with a Plough, 2025. Beautiful work by Daisy Miller at the City & Guilds of London Art School MA Show, some subtle notes on the rural and nostalgia.

Facebook just suspended my account after I revealed Perú’s Army will manufacture arms for Elbit Systems, Israel’s company profiting from genocide and using Palestine as testing lab even though the news of the contract is on Elbit’s on web site. Please spread widely. Peruvian media is silent.

Available in Spanish: "La vida es dura. Machismo, peligro e intimidad del poder en Nicaragua" (prometeoeditorial.com/productos/la...), Roger Lancaster's fantastic ethnography of post Sandinista Revolution Nicaragua. Tremendously creative and beautifully written, it has been a pleasure to translate.

Kudos to Professor Kornbluh. Last year, I translated some excerpts from this fantastic book for my course on contemporary art and its discontents. We read Kornbluh (immediacy), Kunst (politics/care), Pfaller (form/truth), McGowan (identity)... Younglings were absolutely delighted.

"L'Or des Images. Art - Monnaie - Capital" (2013), by Marxist scholar Isabelle Garo. A beautiful, well-written book that should soon be available in Spanish, fingers crossed. (Why is it not available in English yet?!). The section criticising post/neo-operaismo is some serious, sharp stuff.

Muy recomendado "Capitalism Hates You. Marxism and the New Horror Film", de @joshuagooch.bsky.social; especialmente encantado con la lectura que hace del "new Black Horror": un ejercicio de pensamiento dialéctico de gran nivel, y preciso para un libro de análisis marxista. Kudos!

Marxist theory is not family research. The progressive character of art, its contribution to struggle for liberation cannot be measured by the artists' origins. Neither by the presence /absence of the oppressed class in their works. The criteria are given only in the work itself as a whole. Marcuse

Distant rumours of conspiracies: fascination with body positions, contemporary apartments that operate as old war rooms, things that seem out of place in time, loose ends that remain unresolved. Fantastic works by Alan Martí (Santiago de Chile, 1995), Taller Navarrete.

The book can be found in online bookstores. intima.org/kunst/bojana...
A book titled Artista en obras: De la proximidad entre arte y capitalismo by Bojana Kunst is displayed in a bookstore or library. The book cover features an image of a woman dressed in black, carrying a wooden structure on her back, standing in a reflective body of water with mountains in the background. A person’s hands hold two copies of the book to show both the front and back covers. The back cover contains a detailed description of the book’s content. The index page of the book Artista en obras is shown. It lists chapters discussing themes such as the discomfort of active art, subjectivity and sociality in art production, movement, duration, post-Fordism, visibility of labor, and a conclusion on laziness and less work. The last section is a bibliography.A close-up of the book’s introduction, titled Una segunda introducción (Artista en obras, 10 años después). The text explains the book’s history, originally published in Slovenian (2012) and English (2015), and later translated into multiple languages. It discusses the author's experience working with artists in performance fields and how artistic labor has evolved under capitalism.
