Then and now for the 25th Anniversary. #sculpture "The Sphere" was commissioned by the Port Authority and stood in the plaza between the Twin Towers from 1972. It was created by German artist Fritz Koenig as a symbol of world peace. It was recovered from the rubble after 9/11 and remains on view.

The play "Mrs. Stern Wanders the Prussian State Library" is in town, Off Broadway, at 59E59 Theaters. It's based on the arrest of philosopher Hannah Arendt in 1930s Berlin for the crime of political activism. The show reminds what political project the targeting of activists & intellectuals serves.
