Unfortunately, you cannot really use Command Invokers in @react.dev because it triggers hydration warnings. It still works (for users), but it's annoying, and it can cause performance issues during hydration. I have a PR to enable it, but it has not been reviewed/merged. github.com/react/react/...

I don't think RSC needs quik-style resumability, I want an island-style approach with an optimistic key, where elements are "skipped" until they need to update then there is update. If the script tag is a RSC, React in the browser should not care or have any info until it needs to be updated

I am very happy that the major frameworks are taking a deeper look at the DX around errors. Since 2 teams that have a strong focus on DX came up with similar solutions, it tells me you are on the right path (great job).

Max @maxwellcohen.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't matter, but this double data really bugs me. I like the concept of RSC but have problems with the React implementation. I would love to see a more HTML-based implementation or how Preact would implement it.

Max @maxwellcohen.bsky.social · 10/10/2026
I see this as a problem with inline styles, json+ld, and other cases where I have a lot of static content. In these cases there is double data (html and flight JSON). Also nextjs 404 pages flight JSON being sent on every page. This mainly bugs me as a questionable implementation of a good idea

My biggest problem with RSCs in React is that they send both the HTML and the flight JSON. I feel like I only need the HTML, and the renderer should know what it can update and when RSC changes, new flight JSON can be sent

How does GraphQL play with Pracht's capabilities? You are on to something: if servers represent the app as a graph, they serve data in the format the consumer needs, with smart caching for speed. HTML, JSON for client updates, Markdown for LLMs, perfecting partials for instant navigation.

I am very impressed with Pracht's ability to optimize apps for performance. Adding caching, ISG, and image optimizations can turn an average-speed app into one that gets a perfect Lighthouse mobile score. Link to code: github.com/MaxwellCohen...

Class name hash is supported for decades and @scope is baseline 2026. When working on large apps with lots of developers it is very easy to accidentally create a clashing css selectors out of laziness or ignorance.

Hooks with refs solved that problem for me, so I haven't needed Vue-style directives in React. Come to think of it, I am surprised there isn't a clsx or Tailwind merge for JSX properties to give mixins that "everyone" uses.

I am glad to see experiments like Remix 3, but it is not for me. Remix 3 gives me a lot of AngularJS vibes. I loved AngularJS until I read the Vue 2 docs and realized what I was missing. If React just had class components, Remix 3 would be amazing, but I like functional components and modern React.

The ability to access your state as a variable instead of a function or magic property is a super valuable feature. While I love my SFC, the ability to have multiple components in the same file with just the overhead of creating a function is a killer feature.

This is an amazing talk, but I got the exact opposite lesson from it. React doesn't win on speed (it's fast enough for most use cases), but on API design. When we try to build faster frameworks using React's APIs (JSX, hooks), it creates awkwardness that React does not have youtu.be/A8k9h2stMLU?...
