When life imitates modern #Wangxian AU. Surely there was no need for all that red colour, Lan Corp?

Yes!!! Yes!!! Now we need the Twin Jades of Rivendell and the Tale of Aragorn summoning the dead to do his bidding in battle. The MDZS/LOTR crossover we were all dying to see!

If your first introduction to #mdzs was The Untamed, did you guess about the golden core as it was happening, before the reveal? I felt it was signposted way too clearly in the drama but I'd read the book and watched the donghua first so I already knew.

Another instant favourite is "7 Days in Kinktown" by @eclairatee.bsky.social (archiveofourown.org/works/80652926). Like so many fantastic BDSM fics, it's about angst, and feelings, and care, and found family. Loved every word and will reread on hard rotation!

Great news! WWX is not dead! There has been a total bumper crop of new and wonderful #wangxian #mdzs fics lately, thanks in part to Gotcha Against ICE (kudos to @fereael.bsky.social!). So many favourite authors bringing us delicious fodder, I am busy adding to my bookmarks like a greedy hamster!

Just finished reading this and must shout from the rooftops! An incredible fic, reimagining Wangxian's canon miscommunication in a delightful exes to lovers scenario. I was so hooked I hid in the toilet at work to keep reading! An instant favourite.

@fereael.bsky.social: you asked for classic Wangxian fic recs in the other place (X). I don't have a fandom acct there, so here is my list. I tried to trim it down but it didn't want to. 🙈This is not the same as my faves list but there is of course some overlap. 😅

I know time travel has been done to death, but what if baby WWX decided to age himself up by 20 years to smuggle Emperor's Smile into CR and his talisman went wrong? Who could meet him up on the wall? #mdzs

Wangxian confession scene storyboard with the audio from the audio drama! 🐇 I had a lot of fun with this one and I like how it turned out a lot. Enjoy!! Translation by SuibianSubs. God bless them for translating MDZS AD. #mdzs #wangxian

Loved this new fic by KizuKatana! Now I have a question for #wangxian loremasters. Can anyone rec any fics where LWJ is spurred into action bc he is in danger of losing WWX? There are amazing ones where reverse is true. They wd have to be aus bc of canon comphet. @fereael.bsky.social, help!

I listened to @katchatorie.bsky.social's exquisite podfic of the wonderfully hot Follow Me fic by @athena-crikey.bsky.social, and then I went to watch 10Dance, the film that partly inspired the plot. What can I say? The film was good but the fic was so much better.

Does anyone has any tips for finding your place when listening to podfics on AO3? I always struggle and it's incredibly annoying!

I have made a baby fic! Because it's my first one ever, it's tiny, and it's about babies! Two Prides of Yunmeng make their appearance, and Madam Yu is Not Impressed. archiveofourown.org/works/74557291

Please direct me to any good discussions on how CQL didn't just censor the BL part of #mdzs but also the zombie part. WWX comes across as tame (hehe) because he only turns WRH's puppets against him, not raises the dead warriors to fight their former mates. I know they had their reasons but...

How to tell a fic author or podficcer that I am obsessed with their work and check AO3 for updates at ungodly hours without putting undue pressure on them? How to best show gratitude for the gifts given freely by busy people with lots on their plates? Reader pining should be a tag.

I made a fic! Well, there was a fic I really loved, so I translated it into English because it deserves a bigger audience. It's a G-rated story of Jiang Cheng and Lan Xichen trying to live through their past and their present, skirting around friendship while having polite conversations.

When an author you love is posting a fic in instalments, do I read it as it comes out? Do I wait and read the whole thing as a glorious feast?! Or, you know what, I have no patience, I'll read it as it comes out and then listen to the podfic to fill in all the tasty stuff I missed out on! 🧠

Another #wangxian_ficrec from me: Abyss by WanderingMongoose. What if Gusu disciples went to study in Lotus Pier and not the other way around? What if LWJ met the young WWX on his home turf and fell harder than ever? What if they had shenangians with water ghouls at LP? Loved this fic so much!

I read a fic and I want to scream from the rooftops about it - thank you @auntieiroh.bsky.social and @raitalarai.bsky.social for leading me to it via podfic. I usually steer clear of wips and I find a/b/o hit and miss, but this one is like a red-hot poker.

Just finished this podfic and omg, what a truly epic story and what a magnificent podfic! A perfect fic for me is when an author does their own world-building and at the same time leaves enough breadcrumba leading to canon for us to gorge ourselves on. This is one of them, a total stunner!

I don't know if anyone will read this but today I can't help thinking that whatever our views are, #mdzs is not a rulebook to follow. Wwx is a flawed hero. He saves the Wen group but before that he goes on a a bloody rampage killing thousands of other Wens.

How do I go about finding a beta for a #mdzs fic I translated into English? I love this fic and really want the translation to make sense before I upload it. Does anyone fancy beta-ing a broody and sarcastic JC and LXC fic? Not Xicheng, they just have a lot of grief to share (and some beef!)

#Wipwednesday and here is my favourite WIP of all, Re:Inquiry by the amazing @mimispearmint.bsky.social : archiveofourown.org/works/41227794 This is my Roman (British) Empire, my place to cry and pine and wait. If it is finished, I'll be as happy as LWJ hearing that random twink play Wangxian.
