Mawatteiru @mawatteiru.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Instead of doomposting about something I can’t control, I’m gonna write something I can control: how I feel about cartoons that are a joy to think about. 151
Mawatteiru @mawatteiru.bsky.social · 04/10/2026I have no doubt in my mind both Friz Freleng and Warren Foster had Tex Avery on their mind when they decided to make a Bugs Bunny cartoon without the usual staples. So I can’t help myself but love a cartoon like FOXY BY PROXY for what it represents. 161
Mawatteiru @mawatteiru.bsky.social · 04/10/2026I think FRESH AIRDALE is as close Chuck Jones got to making punk rock. 131

Mawatteiru @mawatteiru.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Looks like I’m going deep into watching Soul Eater after decades not doing so. Been a long time coming. Hope it’s as peak as people make it out to be. 000

Mawatteiru @mawatteiru.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Was not expecting for today to be the day I go deep for my 3DS collection. But I got the last of the many heavy hitters. Just need to find one more FE game and Tomanchi Life (and a handful of Pokemon games) and I’m set for life with this system. 020
Mawatteiru @mawatteiru.bsky.social · 22/09/2026Been thinking about this and might as well admit it. I think I got burn out from writing after grad school. The mood to just casually write in a particular form hasn’t been there for months. 120
Mawatteiru @mawatteiru.bsky.social · 21/09/2026Also in the mail! I got tired of disc 1 of every 3 disc set not working. This’ll do. 000
Mawatteiru @mawatteiru.bsky.social · 20/09/2026I have now seen every episode of Zeta Gundam. That was a rough one to get through. Not in terms of awfulness, I loved it. But in terms of content, whoof. 020

Mawatteiru @mawatteiru.bsky.social · 18/09/2026Now I understand why 1997 comic book readers were grumpy at the time. They had Spawn. (Watching that for the first time. It’s rough) 010

Mawatteiru @mawatteiru.bsky.social · 18/09/2026Well OLD DOGS is going in the “bad Disney movies that get under my skin” list. If I ever make a list of the worst movies under the Disney name, this will be on there. Alongside such classics as ONE OF OUR DINOSAURS IS MISSING, BON VOYAGE, and MEET THE DEEDLES. 110

Mawatteiru @mawatteiru.bsky.social · 13/09/2026Really happy how my Zelda backlog is looking. I’d say from here the last big ones are A Link to the Past, Minish Cap, and Echos of Wisdom (along with maybe the Link’s Awakening remake) and I’d say I have all the must haves for Zelda. 000
Mawatteiru @mawatteiru.bsky.social · 13/09/2026Yo peeps, I got a key for Shantae Risky Revenge and Mighty Switch Force Hose It Down I don’t need, who wants it? 000
Mawatteiru @mawatteiru.bsky.social · 13/09/2026I might have some Steam keys to games I already have. Any of my Blusky friends want dibs? I can warn: some of them will be Shantae games. 110
Mawatteiru @mawatteiru.bsky.social · 10/09/2026BILLBOARD FROLICS doesn’t have too much to offer in a critical sense, but it’s valuable on a cultural sense. For one, Disney’s influence is still profound: it’s very obvious cartoons like THE CHINA SHOP was both a commercial (at least I hope it was) and critical hit, so it’s easy money. 110
Mawatteiru @mawatteiru.bsky.social · 10/09/2026Collector’s Vault 3 is a slam dunk of a set. Why not celebrate with some writings on each cartoon? 020
Mawatteiru @mawatteiru.bsky.social · 10/09/20264 epsiodes into the Flying Witch anime. Exactly the kind of anime I need for my birthday: Beautiful in the slow moments, charming in the bigger picture, and leaves enough to chew on inbetween. Can’t wait to spend this night getting to know more about this world. 010
Mawatteiru @mawatteiru.bsky.social · 09/09/2026Planning to spend my birthday doing nothing but chill out with as many epsiodes of FLYING WITCH I can through Hoopla. Been looking to it all month. 020

Mawatteiru @mawatteiru.bsky.social · 05/09/2026About almost done with my viewing of the Collector’s Vault volume 3. Pretty much thumbs up across the board from me as always, but there’s a few comments people should be aware of with this set I’m not seeing others bring up: 111

Mawatteiru @mawatteiru.bsky.social · 30/08/2026And last up: not only one of my most wanted Game Boy Advance games, but one of my most wanted games in general since the 00s! Mawatteiru @mawatteiru.bsky.social · 30/08/2026Oh I think I forgot to talk about the games I got while out on Friday! Well let’s fix that. The pile is small but they’re all heavy hitter.
