Thoughts and prayers (and hibaclens and bactine)! This derpalerp gave me cat scratch fever last winter by leaping onto my shoulders from the floor, missing, then digging his claws in to climb my back. I got to be the fun patient with an oozy wound the residents all wanted photos of.

If you work in an office, on a film set, or hold events regularly, pick up pre-cut foil & a sleeve of containers with secure lids and get to know your local mutual aid folks or identify your closest community fridge. I just packed up breakfast for 30 from a film shoot that wrapped quickly.

We’ve been going even lazier when I have leftover rice and making crispy rice on a sheet pan and piling all the onigiri stuff on that in the middle of the table. Some people put kewpie on their scoops. Some of us nori to wrap.

Do you think an auction lot of seaglass special finds would do well? There’s definitely an overlap of quilters/crafters and seaglassers. I could do a frosty stopper, doll head and marble and maybe some more rare colors? I looked through old items and there wasn’t anything like it.

I keep a stainless steel walnut/pecan pick in a jar over the sink with the kitchen toothbrushes that are for bottles and tiny cleaning tasks. If you get garlic under your nails during a big cook, it works to get the smell better than a nail brush alone. This pick is marked with nail polish.

I’ve learned how to watercolor, repaired and use a geriatric 3d printer, joined a delightfully autonomous mutual aid that reaffirms everything all the time and am raising teenage twins in a relationship that’s better every year. I like this perspective.

My Ma did one in a city near her small town & found her people. She felt less alone. The group connected her with small town folks. She started doing Visibility Brigade on a rural highway overpass. I joined them on Thursday because *they are still going*. Mostly octogenarians, all delightful & fun.
