Not really, it’s pretty common to think x person is doing a good job although if an election where held you would vote another way. It’s why he had good numbers with the other parties like the NDP and Bloc. CPC is just always on the attack of the PM which tbf is their job as official opposition

Did they not do polling to see where the parties sit vote wise?

21 days before the 25th anniversary of September 11th, the United States imposes 50% tariffs on the country that gave its citizens refuge during the worst terrorist attack in US history.

I know that sales figures has been bad recently and thought on most of their earnings calls. But I read very briefly that sales plummeted further than expected due to the Chinese EV’s, not sure if it really accelerated, but I assume that’s what happened

First off switch to a credit union. Second what the hell lmao. I work in a banking adjacent job, if I find out my firm is doing this I’m quitting on the spot. The amount of people who will complain about coworkers who are immigrants though is insane, I’ll even get people asking if I’m Canadian...

The NDP is virtually nonexistent in both PEI and New Brunswick, the green parties have firmly taken over those roles. The greens came very close to forming government in 2019 in PEI.

it’s like the fed board, gives the appointee much more time to worry about and makes it so there’s no way they have to worry about political pressure

It’s much like the fed board, longer terms gives them more time to focus on work and not worry about political retaliation

Texas nights should belong to Texans, not Big Tech. Data centers bring permanent daylight, drain water, and drive up power bills. People deserve dark skies, clean water, and land that stays in local hands.
Dark rural nighttime scene with trees, a fence line, and a truck visible in silhouette against an unusually bright glowing sky on the horizon. The Daily Mail logo appears in the top left. Large white text reads: “Data center brings permanent DAYLIGHT to rural Texas…”

We got rid of the red ensign, apparently they didn’t know that we were still a monarchy either, so I don’t blame them for immediately thinking of Australia consider considering it still has the union jack plus stars to make them think of themselves

Consider considering the fact that his fangirling over our king is the only thing keeping him from invading Canada, I would kindly ask that he do in fact, suffer this great burden for an hour to keep his people safe

DENMARK AND FRANCE 🇩🇰🇫🇷 bans all Microsoft products from all public offices. The phaseout is expected to be completed before autumn 2026. Their products are being replaced with customer versions of Linux and LibreOffice. This is digital sovereignty being taken back

After France, Denmark is moving too: its Digitalisation Ministry plans to phase out Microsoft, switching to Linux and LibreOffice in the coming months. The goal is clear—reduce dependence on a handful of global tech giants and strengthen digital sovereignty.

It’s not 100% about bedside, K trucks just don’t necessarily do the greatest off-road, but funny enough that shrinks the population down to about 98% of people not needing the ones above haha

They are only included in the polls for 2 reasons. 1. If you don’t include them, their supporters are insufferable. 2. We need to remind them they have 0% of the vote

Canadian here so I don’t know how your system works, at the end of the day if Trump is really dead sit on it cant he just override rubio and Vance? I thought they were just treated more so as advisers and Trump got the final day on everything and that there was nothing Vance could’ve actually done.

… this way the French could influence the Catholic Church and get their way. During a meeting recently, it’s been reported that a high ranking official from the US state Department told the Vatican representative to the US to “pick a side” over Iran and to “ remember the Avignon Papacy”

Matt @matttcc.bsky.social · 10/04/2026
I’m Protestant not Catholics. This is a very gross condensed version and may have some errors. In ~1305, the pope crowned the German king as emperor of the HRE, the French king had wanted it though so he had the pope killed an forced the next few popes to live in a region of French called Avignon…

The people of Iran pose no threat to the United States — this has always been an oil war at the behest of the 1%. Now, Trump is threatening genocide over it. Where is the leadership from Carney to denounce this illegal war? Where is the pressure from provincial leaders?

A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don't want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS? We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!

Honestly, seems like a fair deal to me. Are the very least a heavily reduced, to a point that they’re still paying for infrastructure they would actually use such as roads and the options too contribute to things like the Quebec pension plan

Just a reminder, you can have the best of both worlds too. Have a PHEV, during the (Candian) winter as I get 20km range and 60km in the summer. Couple extra dollars to charge daily. More than enough to go anywhere in town. Haven’t filled up this year, except when I drove to Quebec

I mean, at this point he has a majority and he knows he’ll likely lose the gap if he calls an election (think of the 2021 election where there was a massive slump in the polls and the only reason the cons didn’t win was because O’Toole fumbled it)
