New premade cover available. Film posters have always had a big influence on my art, and one of my favourites is for the 1985 classic “House”. So I wanted to make a tribute book cover for it, I’ve been chipping away at this for weeks and finished it late last night.

Sometimes you just have to lay down the law

texts:

You don't find there to be any kind
of magic in the way the randomness
collates into something tangible with
generative Al?

D

Nope

None 14:40

It's an evil technology

It
iS
the enemy, made by the enemy, and
it kills us a little every time it is used

There is magic in random juxtaposition,
and that's why tarot exists

Tarot doesn't require destroying the
biosphere and stealing from creatives

I'd take entrail divination over generative

Generative Al has as much value as

And another short story illustration, this one for the great Michael Shea's The Autopsy, which was adapted into an episode of Guillermo Del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities, directed by David Prior. You can read it in Shea's collection Polyphemus, which is full of bangers.

A corpse sits up on an autopsy table, a sheet covering it from the waist down. it's been opened at the chest, revealing gory ribs and intestines. above it, the darkness becomes a starry night sky. the title THE AUTOPSY floats above the corpse's head.

Illustrated one of my favourite short horror stories for fun. The Voice In The Night by William Hope Hodgson!

A moody night time illustration of a row boat on the water, partially lit in greens and ochres by an out of view lantern. the person in the rowboat is horribly distorted, and partially obscured by darkness. Wavy letters in the water spell out THE VOICE IN THE NIGHT.
