I based this Blender project on this specific ray gun. I didn't make it up. Found nearly ortho images and dropped those into Blender and modeled based on that. This original toy has no flashing light like I put in the red plastic area, but the gears do spin when the trigger is pulled, as I animated.

Unused D4 ship - Enterprise It was made for free by Koji Kuramura, who worked without sleep for several days. It was rejected by Rick Berman who demanded Koji add 10 more windows. Rob Bonchune refused to order Koji to do more unpaid work. So Berman ordered the reuse of DS9 K't'inga model instead.

Drinking a 17 year old Chimay. 2 years older than my son. It's oxidized, of course, but still has some interesting things going as that oxidation creates some interactions with the maltiness. The age softened it the alcohol perception. Doesn't taste like 9% abv.

Messing around with Blender. Here's a Playblast. Simple Tie-Fighter modeled, then I used Geometry Nodes to make a swarm and animate them with randomized rotation and flight paths as well as varied flight speeds. Shouldn't be collisions, but there might be. #Blender

Never used Blender before, so I did a tutorial from CG Boost to learn the UI. Needs more tweaking, but this'll do for now to just warm up to the app. I've used Maya and SoftImage XSI professionally on movies, and Modo as a hobby, but never Blender. The app seems pretty great.

After four days typing for forty or more minutes per session, I've wrapped up typing out the George Saunders story "Tenth of December" in full, all 8,633 words. Took about three hours and seven minutes, so 46 words/minute, which is pretty slow for me. My usual is 60. But there you have it.
