Lobbying removed the 'disorder' part to gender dysphoria because it was seen as 'stigmatising' even if it was medically true and useful. And now there is a generic trans umbrella that includes crossdressers, tomboys, fetishists and everything in between. It has been disastrous for real transexuals.

Unfortunately I agree. I'm not really sure I'm gender critical as you might understand it. Transexualism is something specific that applies to people with what used to be called gender identity disorder.

To be fair it's a mixed bag. Most people are positive towards trans people. They just don't want biological males in female sport and 'women' swinging their cock and balls around in female changing rooms.

Anyway, there's a lot to unpack in what you said. The anti-trans movement has multiple strands, the gender critical movement is only one part of it and quite independent of religion. The GC movement has its roots in the radical feminism of the 1970s, people like Germaine Greer and Julie Bindel.
