Emailed the Jamie Ager campaign.

"But I have to say I was upset to recently read about some of the statements Mr. Ager has made about trans people. Not only do I think this does him no favors politically, I also quite simply believe it it be morally wrong. With their humanity constantly under attack from the right, it can be absolutely crushing for them to see such attacks coming from the other side, too.

There's nothing to be gained from denying the rights, humanity and personhood of the most vulnerable. If their right to be who they are can be dismissed, then everyone's can. If they shouldn't be defended, then anyone could be thrown under the bus next.

I would urge Mr. Ager and the campaign to strongly reconsider these public positions, publicly reverse them, and offer hope of a life free from governmental harassment and persecution to the trans people in our community. It's the humane thing to do, and honestly, could very much affect whether I choose to vote at all in this race."
