Right now, there’s no point in playing fire emblem on normal with permadeath on because you get infinite rewinding potion to take back any turn. It would be interesting if the rewinding potion had a resource limit or the cost to rewind increased with use? But no, you literally have infinite potion

Warmed up on Fire Emblem as I played this weekend. They made a system where it’s difficult to “optimize” time between story fights, so you get to make choices; do you explore the map for the chance to find rare fish? You might miss your weekly window for training/worship/bird talking in the city.

Saw a stat saying 50% of Onimusha players on Steam are from China. I am always surprised how much of Steam’s growth over the past 10 years is from Chinese PC gamers joining Steam. It’s not, like, 10 million Americans who started PC gaming overnight, it’s an international market story.

I think it’s funny that in 2005 EA was releasing pretty good Madden games and 007 and Medal of Honor and NFS Underground and Lord of the Rings and Mercenaries and then they put out Catwoman and the CEO said, “THIS COMPANY IS A SLOP FACTORY WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING!” and that’s how we got Boom Blox

I’m the only person who has a normal opinion about Monster Hunter Wilds. Wilds is a fun game that gave a lot of weapons some really cool new moves. It had some really neat new monsters and returning monsters and they look cool. It’s also the worst game Capcom has published since Umbrella Corps
