Though a rump operation is now operating inside the State Department, the administration says that it has terminated more than 80 percent of U.S.A.I.D. grants. Brooke Nichols, an associate professor of global health at Boston University, has estimated that these cuts have already resulted in about 300,000 deaths, most of them of children, and will most likely lead to significantly more by the end of the year. That is what Musk’s foray into politics accomplished.

The “fluoride removal” bit is a solution in search of a problem. Fluoride levels in Florida are completely safe, help prevent cavities, and keep kids in school. Where’s the evidence it’s been remotely harmful? There isn’t any. No ethics, no morals, all smoke and mirrors.

Never in my career or education have I seen a party so brazenly disrespect a Court, a Judge, and his orders as what happened in Judge Boasberg’s Court regarding the Trump administration’s invocation of the Alien Enemies Act. I don’t know why anyone shows up to work anymore. The rule of law is dead.
