Matthew Haughey @mathowie.xoxo.zone.ap.brid.gy · 13/10/2026I can’t wait to see what the HomeKit/Home Assistant community does with the Home View. I’m excited to tinker with mine when it shows up. I’ve never been a big FaceTime user before but this is probably the perfect way to use FaceTime with far-away family. 150

Matthew Haughey @mathowie.xoxo.zone.ap.brid.gy · 12/10/2026If Democrats win the house and senate, they probably won’t be allowed into chambers in January as a desperate loser of a president does everything possible to prevent a peaceful transfer of power and any consequences from ever reaching him. We should probably prepare for this outcome. 2413

I worried it'd be hard to navigate, difficult to find fun stuff to do, and not easy to enjoy a new country where I had a significant language barrier to 3183

Matthew Haughey @mathowie.xoxo.zone.ap.brid.gy · 03/10/2026The hardest part of flying home from Japan is adjusting to the time change. For example in Tokyo I got to experience a future where everyone deserves dignity but I’m flying back to a country intent on pushing itself back to the 1950s. It’s hard to adjust your watch to that. 22643

Matthew Haughey @mathowie.xoxo.zone.ap.brid.gy · 28/09/2026Japan’s cosplay game is ridiculously on point, as expected. This was one of many Anna and Elsa fans walking around, probably mid-tier compared to others (also it’s 80° hot and humid and everyone is wearing huge heavy robes). DisneySea has no rules against adults wearing costumes. 070
Matthew Haughey @mathowie.xoxo.zone.ap.brid.gy · 28/09/2026DisneySea is blowing me away with the level of detail in every inch of the park. I got dinner in the Frozen land and this is two dining rooms out of five. Every beam is hand painted. The wall art is original oil paintings. The lighting is phenomenal, all for a quick service restaurant. 1100
