It's the easiest thing in the world to understand. When Democrat candidates run on anti-trans ideology, they are sabotaging their own chances to win. One vote will not change the result of an election, but one candidate willing to stand up for what is right CAN.

Extensively planned and thought-out lesson plans work for some folks... maybe even most folks! But I find that, for me, codifying my lesson plans lowers my flexibility and makes me not only more stressed, but less effective at answering these four questions and delivering for the students.

This is absolutely true, and is honestly why I haven't written down a lesson plan in years. I can't answer these questions realistically (especially #4!) if I lock myself into a daily lesson plan. I answer these four questions, give myself a deadline, and improvise from there.

I spent a lot of time in high school not speaking out when my friends made racist jokes or bullied people based on their race or sexuality. I consoled myself with the idea that I wasn't participating, but later in life I realized that I was every bit as culpable as they were. Thank you for this.

I made them into cupcakes because that makes it easier to give them away to friends and family. If I had to guess what Paul and Nigella would say about my cakes, I would say that the chocolate flavor doesn't come through as much as I'd like, and the icing is a little too liquidy.
