When I buy stuff, I tend to ask myself: would I want (any of my friends) to work there? Why I never buy anything with Amazon. Seems so many people would want to enslave themselves or their friends like this. I can't wrap my head around that.

Tonight's spring tide was exceptionally high, and the about last spring tide this year we get in daylight. This is because spring tide on this part of the river is around 8AM/8PM and with the days increasingly shorter, next spring tides will be in the dark. #nn #SailIntoTheSun

Yesterday when I was doing a little maintenance on my 🛥️ this guy starts arguing I should try kayaking. I try to explain that I do. He goes off on a rant on how his gf kayaks because "everybody does it there!" He lives 300m from our kayaks hangar. Every week, up to 30 kids show up for training. 🙈🙉🙊

Did you know that, even with a public ATProto account, you can declare in your PDS you don't want anything to do with AI? I don't see it in bsky app, but @blackskyweb.xyz's app has this ⤵️ (If you like, once that's in your PDS, you can go back to whatever fav ATProto app you're using.)

Sure, this won't stop anyone from scooping up the firehouse. But you've at least made sure they know that is not with your consent.
