John the Stonemason @masonsterm.bsky.social · 27/07/2026Hi mark, thanks! It wasn't bad for it's age, my hero at the moment is Greg of Greg's Models on Youtube. I wanted to try an older kit like Greg, to advance my skills. This one took a lot of Green Putty but was happy with the fit. Paint wise, used Mr Color red over grey u/c, Humbrol 60 as h/light 110 1
John the Stonemason @masonsterm.bsky.social · 26/07/2026They do Mathew, the originals were pretty much blobs of plastic. Would have loved to replace the propeller too as It's not great, but had no options but to make the best of a bad job. 010 1

The Airfix WW1 challenge and what a challenge, spent a lot of time filling injector holes and cleaning parts, but actually went together well. Changed pilot for a better one and changed the LMG 08's for Master-Model ones. #Histscalemodels 3537 53

The first aircraft to have a synchronised machine gun to fire through the arc of the propeller. Starting what the British press termed the Fokker scourge of 1915/16.
