It’s is never too late to start wearing a mask again. Cuts to public health, social services and escalating fascism mean it’s more important than ever to protect your own health and the health of your community. It’s a simple, powerful and effective way to resist!

Reacting to a quick rise in chronic illnesses among Americans in their 20s-40s, two organizations: GoMo Health and Insurance Collaboration to Save Lives (ICSL)— have joined forces to form a new initiative. The ForwardLiving Partnership is a proactive push to help insurers better support... 1/6
On a dark blue background are several info tiles with percentages from The Forwardliving Partnership. The title of this graphic is "Insurance Agencies Report". The first tile states: "Americans with one chronic condition: 60%". The second tile states: "Americans with multiple chronic conditions: 40%". The last tile is a quote from the article this graphic is summarizing and reads: “More Americans in their 20s, 30s, and 40s are developing serious conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease...” Under the tiles is the organization responsible for this information: The ForwardLiving Partnership.
Under the title is a cartoon picture of skills and bones (the original article uses real skull imagery) with another quote below: “People who had COVID-19 may face heightened long-term risks for heart and lung diseases.” The HTX mask bloc logo is in the upper left hand corner: a light blue circle with a simple blue mask and text - Mask Bloc - HTX. The handle @maskbloc.htx is at the bottom of the frame.

As COVID-19 continues to affect us, funding for further research on Long COVID is vital to our wellbeing. 24,000 studies and counting show us how much there is to learn about Long COVID. The more we learn about Long COVID and its effects, the closer we get to a safer and healthier present for us all
An image with a green background, its top half covered by a torn piece of golden-yellow paper. In the background of the paper are faded light-blue graphics of falling sheets of paper. Blue text on the paper piece reads, “With at least 24,000 scientific papers, Long COVID is one of the most-studied illnesses in history.” The number “24,000” and the phrase “most-studied illnesses” are bolded and highlighted in light-blue. On the right of the image is a tall stack of light-blue documents with a paper falling down to the right. The graphic outlined in blue. To the left is a rectangular piece of paper with a torn up row of squared holes on the top. Blue text on the paper reads, “Yet, five years on, this devastating, life-threatening disease has no diagnosis, no treatment, no cure-we really need to fix that”. The phrase “we really need to fix that” is golden-yellow and highlighted in indigo. Below is a smaller line of italicized text that reads, “@drjoepajak.bsky.social‬. Bluesky, 8 April 2025”. At the bottom right corner is the Mask Bloc HTX logo: a light-blue circle with blue text that reads, “Mask Bloc – HTX” above a simple image of a mask.

COVID justice also means justice for migrants, refugees, and internally displaced persons. These groups face disproportionate rates of long COVID, COVID infections, and COVID death rates. COVID runs rampant in internment/death camps such as prisons, detention centers, jails, and refugee camps.
A square slide titled, "COVID Justice is Migrant and Refugee Justice" in a typeface which looks handwritten in dark purple marker over a light orange paper texture background. The title is shifted toward the top left corner. At the bottom, smaller letters in the same purple typeface read, "Swipe to learn more. @maskbloc.htx" with an arrow pointing right to the right of the text.

In the middle is a watercolor drawing of an anatomical heart with flowers and leaves growing out of it. A bright green glow emanates from under the heart and spreads out. On the left side of the heart, there is a watercolor drawing of a butterly which looks like it's flying toward the heart from the bottom left corner. A line art drawing of a respirator is above the butterfly, appearing to fly, too, with its ear loops. On the right side of the heart, there is a watercolor drawing of a hummingbird which appears to be flying in from the top right corner. Below the bird is another "flying" line art respirator.A square slide titled, "COVID Justice is Migrant and Refugee Justice" in a typeface which looks handwritten in dark purple marker over a light orange paper texture background. The title is shifted toward the top middle of the slide. The same watercolor butterfly from before, but smaller, frames the title on the left side, and a smaller version of the watercolor hummingbird frames the title on the right side.

In the middle of the slide, framed by a transparent, light green rectangle, there is a screenshot of an article titled, "COVID-19 hits migrants, refugees especially hard, review shows."

Below, an excerpt from the article reads, "Migrants, refugees, and internally displaced people have an 84% higher COVID-19 infection rate and a 46% higher COVID death rate than the general population, a new systematic review and meta-analysis in EClinicalMedicine reveals.

'Even in the advanced stages of the pandemic, migrants faced higher infection risks and disproportionately suffered from the consequences of COVID-19 disease, including deaths,' the study authors wrote."

To the right of the excerpt is an image of three workers working in a large industrial agricultural facility, appearing to harvest leafy plants.

Overlapping the article screenshot is a line art graphic of a respirator toward the top right corner.

Smaller, dark purple text at the bottom reads, "Source:
Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy (CIDRAP) at the University of Minnesota, “COVID-19 hits migrants, refugees especially hard, review shows.” https://www.cidrap.umn.edu/covid-19/covid-19-hits-migrants-refugees-especially-hard-review-shows (2024)"A square slide titled, "Mask Bans, Fascism, and Internment Camps" in a typeface which looks handwritten in dark purple marker over a light orange paper texture background. The title is shifted toward the top middle of the slide. The same watercolor butterfly from before, but smaller, frames the title on the left side, and a smaller version of the watercolor hummingbird frames the title on the right side.

Over a transparent, light green rectangle, the main slide text reads, in a simple, dark purple, sans serif text, "While ableist, fascist legislators attempt to enact mask bans across the “united states,” ICE pigs conceal their identities with masks as they kidnap our community members, such as Tufts student and Fulbright scholar Rumeysa Ozturk. ICE pigs then imprison people like Rumeysa in internment camps known for high rates of preventable deaths and squalid “living” conditions. " The words "ableist, fascist legislators," "mask bans," "ICE pigs conceal their identities with masks," "internment camps," and "high rates of preventable deaths and squalid “living” conditions" are bolded and colored red for emphasis.

There is a line art graphic of a respirator on the bottom right corner of the light green text rectangle.

Below is an image from Rumeysa's kidnapping. She is wearing a light colored coat and brown hijab, facing away from the camera. At least five ICE pigs surround her as one puts handcuffs on her. They are all wearing dark clothing and concealing their faces with masks.

For about a year now, an outbreak of avian influenza A (H5N1) has been infecting and, in some cases, causing the death of cats across the country. There is the potential for spread of the virus between cats and humans. #houston #cats #avianflu #pethealth #petwellness #H5N1 #h5n1
An image with a golden-yellow background with a flock of green birds flying across the top. Behind all the text is a green and blue illustration of rounded top window. The image’s title is blue, all caps, and in the Century Gothic font. The title reads, “Avian Flu and Domestic Cats”. Below is an indigo rectangle text box for the subtitle. The subtitle is a quote in light-blue and in the OpenDyslexic font. The subtitle reads, “Since the U.S. outbreak of avian influenza A (H5N1) in dairy cattle began in March 2024, dozens of cats are known to have contracted the virus”. Below is a light-blue clipart of three kittens playing with a ball of yarn. In the bottom left corner is the Mask Bloc HTX logo: a light-blue circle with blue text that reads, “Mask Bloc – HTX” above a simple image of a mask. At the bottom of the image is small indigo text that reads, “’Avian influenza A (H5N1) in cats’, American Veterinary Medical Association”.An image with a green background with a few birds flying in the top right corner. There are two text boxes, both have quotes in the OpenDyslexic font. To the top left is an indigo text box in the shape of an arched window, it casts a golden-yellow shadow to the left. The text is light-blue with several words highlighted in golden-yellow. Its text reads, “H5N1 is often fatal in cats, which may develop severe neurological symptoms”. The words “often fatal”, “cats”, and “neurological” are highlighted. To the right is a golden-yellow clipart of a cat in a stalking pose, it casts a blue shadow to the left. Above the cat are blue and green virus particles. Below is a large light-blue text box with an indigo outline that holds blue text. It reads, “Cats appear to be particularly susceptible to severe illness, often resulting in death. Whether infected cats can infect other cats is currently unclear; however, that possibility cannot be dismissed. The risk of cat-to-human transmission is considered extremely low, but may increase with prolonged, unprotected exposure to infected animals.”. Several words are in bold: “cats”, “particularly susceptible”, “death”, “risk”, “transmission”, “may increase”, “unprotected exposure”, and “infected”. At the bottom of the image is small indigo text that reads, “’C.D.C. Posts, Then Deletes, Data on Bird Flu Spread Between Cats and People’, The New York Times + ‘Avian influenza A (H5N1) in cats’, American Veterinary Medical Association”.An image with an indigo background and with a border of continuous golden-yellow line broken into squared pieces. There is one main paragraph of text in the OpenDyslexic font. Most of the text is light-blue, while some words are highlighted in golden-yellow or green. The text reads, “Cats that became infected with bird flu might have spread the virus to humans in the same household and vice versa, according to data that briefly appeared online in a report from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention but then abruptly vanished”. Below is a dotted outline of a green question mark. At the bottom of the image is small green text that reads, “’C.D.C. Posts, Then Deletes, Data on Bird Flu Spread Between Cats and People’, The New York Times”.An image with a golden-yellow background and one quote separated into three text boxes. The first and second text boxes are rounded indigo rectangles with light-blue text in the Century Gothic font while the second is a tall green stripe that runs across the image from left to right. Its text is blue, in bold, and in the OpenDyslexic font. The entire quote reads, “‘Given the number of cats in the U.S. and the close contact with people, there is definitely a need to understand the potential risk,’ said Dr. Diego Diel, a veterinarian and virologist at Cornell University.”. Below is a blue and golden-yellow illustration of a smiling person with shoulder-length hair holding a cat close to their face. At the bottom of the image is small indigo text that reads, “’C.D.C.
