New co-host this time — Remco Timmer from HERE Technologies — and our guest Sebastian Dietze from tracetronic GmbH, one of the winners of our Munich hackathon. With them and Augustin Friedel we'll dive deep into... Agentic V&V!
The topic is close to my heart: in automotive, software development is only 50% of the work, max. The other half - at least - is V&V. Way more if we consider ADAS/AV-related functionalities. And the V-model gives you all the quality, but none of the speed.
What TraceTronic will show: One prompt — "Hey, I'm a dev and I have to implement my automotive requirements" — drives the whole loop: requirements from Siemens' Polarion, implementation and test cases generated, tests executed on EC2, ~80% green on the first iteration, then the agent iterates to done. Feedback in minutes, not days. -> The math: a single test case runs five digits in cost, and there are thousands of them per component. Cutting 20% of that time is not an incremental improvement.
And no, the hum
