We're extremely saddened to hear of the passing of John Detrick of @theavenginghour.bsky.social podcast. He was a regular emailer, and we liked his work an awful lot. For those who listen to the list of Insiders that we read at the end of every episode, he was the "John" who always topped the list.

A few folks have asked if we’re bummed that Marvel didn’t do better at the Eisners. So it’s probably worth mentioning again that we’re first and foremost fans of the medium and its creators, not the corporations that publish them. A rising tide lifts all boats, and all the wins are well deserved.

The downside of being a guy who both knows a lot about Marvel comics and is friends with Seanbaby is that when he wants to talk about the most boring episode of THE INCREDIBLE HULK ever, you're at the top of a very short list. And yet, this is the best thing on the internet today—go listen!
